Another gay thing about COD4 is paying for the new maps. I like the game and all, but I barely play it online. I don't see the point of buying them if I barely play the game. I heard the maps were good too. :(

Meh, nobody is forcing you to buy them... Just don't buy them if you don't play online much.

No problems with COD4 for me. Me and Goonie were ripping people to shreds last night. It's also good to see that they integrate the new maps into the regular rotation, so you don't have to wait too long before playing on them. The only problem is that only 3 of the 4 maps are used in regular team deathmatch. Killhouse is so small that it would be impossible to have regular match on it, so it gets excluded except for other objective based modes. I'm not sure if the whole thing was worth 10 bucks, but at least I know I've played enough on them to warrant the purchase.

Must have gotten on right as you got off. Halo was being really gay last night although I suspect it's due to one of my roommates downloading a large ahem file on their computer. I kept getting kicked out for little reason, so I switched. For now it seems that mostly everyone is on Halo because of the new maps, but I've already gotten bored of it. Pat still has a boner over them though so he's getting everyone to play that while COD4 gets neglected in the corner. I still give it some loving though.

I can say with certainty that I like COD4 better because I'm better at it than at Halo. I get more enjoyment because it's something I've figured out how to do well in consistantly whereas Halo is a miserable adventure into unpredictability. I'll try to get on in a few hours.

I think I just enjoy CoD4 because it's more...fair? Consistently anyways. In Halo your chances of taking 2 guys down by yourself are slim. But in CoD if you maneuver correctly (and dodge grenades) you can win. I'll get on later too.

There is little to no difference though, they said GTA IV would boost PS3 sales, make them look presentable.

It really shouldn't be surprising, since it all boils down to brand association. People think GTA = PS1/2/3, and only a fanboy or an actual gamer who wants the extra stuff that the other console is getting(Like getting RE4 on the PS2 or Wii over the GC version) will get it on the new platform. The abundance of causal gamers who only preorder the huge AAA games probably had a lot to do with it. I personally don't plan on getting it, so I can't imagine honestly imagine actually choosing between two copies of the same game (although zero loading times do beat out achievements and extra missions I'll pay for when it comes out).

The reverse would happen if Bungie released a Halo game for both PS3 and 360, so don't think it'd only happen one way.
