Firstly, since those crappy rehashes, Ubi Montreal have done shit like Rainbow Six Vegas, Assassin's Creed, and the Splinter Cell games. Secondly, look at that shit. Thirdly, just look at that shit!

I mean seriously, it looks incredible, and have a read of a preview on IGN or somewhere, the features and ambition of this game sound seriously impressive.

Now.

Imagine a world that actually does function without you. Imagine a completely hud-less immersive game world (map is a paper map, check ammo by looking in magazine, etc). Guns have to be cleaned, major wounds have to be tended to, etc, etc.

It's more like the original Far Cry (or Crysis), not sure if you played that, but you're given a level, and you've got a base to infiltrate, say, and you have a whole bunch of obvious possible ways, or you could play it completely randomly and go in from a crazy angle with some mental idea, and see what happens. Half Life this is not. 50km^2 of explorable savvanah, full weather + day/night cycles, this shit looks hot.

Release date is christmas 08, but there havent' been any delays to it yet so it's probs gonna end up later.

Also, Bioware have learnt from their mistakes when making the PC version of Mass Effect, hopefully this'll translate into the same changes being in ME2.
Mass Effect's inventory system has also benefited from a major overhaul; whereas the Xbox 360 game forced you to scroll through a list of practically every item in your possession anytime you wanted something, the PC game lets you sort your items by type and automatically moves better-quality items to the top.

I had it for the PC. It was ok, but pretty generic and didn't really bring anything new IMO.
