I am sorry to go off topic but I noticed that some of you have animated signateurs. I thought that you could only have single a jpeg. Could you tell me how to import one?

I would be interested in joining aswell, however, I have several concerns regarding the project.

I'd like to know how this is going to be pieced together (for instance, is this going to just be random parts pieced together to fit the song, or will you assign a part of the song and have the animators design their portion of the collaboration around that part?

Also, as DEADSiM2 said, why can't we put anything on our work to show that it is ours? People watching the animation will have no idea who did what if there is nothing on there to symbolize your own work.

(Note: I have no animations in my profile as you can tell, but I've been doing multimedia work in flash for two years. If you need something I've done, I'm sure I can find something.)

You go to publish settings, check the gif box, go to gif tab, check animation box, and publish.

Oh and 'hahahaha', like you said about it being the guys second flash ever, you have NO flash at all... by your standards you are total shite.

Why can't people put there names in the flash? Why is noone questioning this decision? I would never join a collab if I wasn't allowed my name in the flash, you need security and to make it hard for the guy to steal it... he could just submit them all as his own.

Keyframing is FBF...i just call it keyframing.

And deadsim - what are you talking aboutt?!?! When did i ever say that you couldn't put your names in the flash??? Everyone's name will be added to the final product - and you're right, you don't know that im not going to steal it. However, im just not an asshole :) Plus i'm level 7, have connections with dozens of NG users, and if i ever attempted to steal 10+ people's works, Tom would ban my ass to kingdom come :) However if you feel like being paranoid, do not participate. i really wouldn't mind.

And yes indeed, i have not submitted a single flash to NG, however, this is my fifth year using flash, my second using 3d - i know what i'm doing. do not worry. i have my reasons for not submitting to newgrounds

Antijr, sorry man, i saw your movies and we are indeed looking for something of higher quality...keep it up man, just keep banging out movies and you will find your point eventually where it'll be honed down to a fine point. I went years just learning everything i possibly could without trying to create a masterpiece.

Caelyn - hey glad to have another player - we will not tell you exactly from what time to what time you guys can animate, but the song "testify" is the song for sure, and we will put your song in where it looks the best. it's just that right now we're still recruiting people, and people's lengths of movies will vary, and it just gets too complicated. IM or e-mail me about joining.

(was a noob to flash not animation)

and to those that think he will steal it, this topic is enuff to prove he wouldnt...all you woudl have to do is say "hey look...the colob tread is right there...and there are our names"

a colb is only as good as its worst flash
so why should every one get there hard work dragged down by 1 or 2 crappy flashes(my self included)

I have a few questions about your collaboration.

Is there absolutely no place where an image can exist for more than a single frame?

What backkground color will be used?

What stage size will be used?

Is there absolutely no tweening? Say for a background image to slide across or something.

I have no real frame-by-frame animation on Newgrounds, but I'm interested in working up my skill in that department while I'm working on my current tweenimation... And this sounds like a very compelling project, if you'll have me. :)

Thanks.

If he was to do taht, we'd blow the whistle, wouldn't we. He said, "We'll sort that out later" meaning, he'll probably put them in.

Hey man I would like to join too! sounds like a great way to get noticed! Anyways if you look at my animations please don't judge me by my only one, journey, it was really when I was first learning how to do flash I have improved quite a bit sense then, i just haven't gotten around to making anymore animations for newgrounds, but a short animation like this would be fun and easy.

man - you guys like posting here ;-)

i know antijr, im sorry, i know i've only seen 2 of your movies, but its just they wont quite cut it. we're looking for HIGH quality and you wouldn't really even compare to the other people working on this project. 'nuff said.

delta force - hey man you're welcome to join - i'm in the process of IMing you, so you should be set. "Scott Sancho" is my s/n, so talk to me about the project.

humbumpoop - holy shit. i saw your "shades of red" collab and i was blown away. i would be glad if you would join the project :-) Try contacting me sometime so we can get squared up.

haha and thanks for standing up for me seoul snake - you've got a good point about collabs. hey btw where do you live? south korea? cause that'd be uber-cool.

blackmarket kraig - i saw your site. i was blow. clear. away. you have an amazingly powerful grip on art and animation, and it would be more than an honor for you to work on this with us! As to your questions...

1) haha, don't worry, you can have an image up for more than a second. however, all i ask is that in each frame there is something different than from the previous frames. even still, you can have a couple still frames for dramatic effect if need be, but we want constant motion.

2) the default background color will be white, but you can pick whichever color you prefer and add your own separate layer as a background.

3) stage size will be standard. 550 x 400

4) oh no, you can definitely tween. i just think that the emphasis of this project should be in each of our abilities to keyframe...i mean...SORRRRRY to all you who know it more formally as FRAME BY FRAMing....*grumble*.... ;-)

the ham 88 - i saw your stuff, and i liked it. you're in :-) try contacting me so we can finalize this. nice work on NG.

unbelievable how many people are interested in this. so many people, in fact, that matt and i are deciding to simply disband the project.

...

hardy har har. but for real, there are a lot of people, so we may break this into two projects: the people who are well-established artists, and the people who have a lot of potential, but are stll learning how to fully utilize flash. just so you all know.

sorry, i thought i already announced it, but here it is again

DEADLINE (likely to be changed):

MAY 26

And why do i call it "keyframing"? because, that's what you're doing. this method of animation requires a keyframe at every movement, hence "keyframing". Hahah, why does it offend so many people?

There is no size limitation. I know. *Jaw drop*. But i figure as long as no one uses their own sounds and .JPG's, we shouldn't have a problem. Plus, with two projects, we'll have even more lee-way.

No color limitations. Defintely not for this project.

Squiggly plank, you can join, but judging from that sweet little lolly pop you're holding in your hand, im not guaranteeing you'll have a spot on the team. You're more than welcome to create a flash, but please know that we are more than welcome to reject it if it isn't good enough.

Mr_Gw - i really like your work and it would be nice if you joined the team. however, we're not assigning specific parts of the song to every member. because the beat is quite repetitive, it would be sort of pointless and too much work to organize. im sorry, but if you need to know the exact part to animate to, this isn't the collab to join. please post back with your decision.

Loners Inc - "journey" was by far the best first flash movie i've ever seen. im sure you'll fit right in with the crew for this collab. just contact me and we'll get things settled.

Meh, dude, that's okay if you don't like it. Also, are we talking those FBF that start with a line, or are we talking anything that doesn't use tweening? Cause I made a pretty cool 10 second thing that isn't a line FBF.

alright we removed and added some people around, but its looking pretty solid and...theres only a few slots left before we decide to close the doors.

And squiggly plank - for this project, we're being fairly lenient and allowing tweening, although the high focus of your clip should be your skills with FBF. And we aren't limiting FBF to those that start with a line...you can do whatever your little heart desires ;-)
