Ive preordered a ticket and am going on opening day, biznatch! What about all you guys? Anybody here like star wars? Anyone seeing episode 3?

Star Wars kicked ass. Key word being kicked. Episode 1 and 2 went drastically downhill. I will see Episode 3, no doubt about it, but probably not in theaters unless I've got nothing else to do. I've heard that this one is done a lot differently than the others, with a whole different feel of it. It's also the first and only one rated more mature than PG. I don't think there's any way it will live to the original Trilogy, but I hope it's better than 1 and 2.

Ditto, dude. The original Trilogy will never be surpassed, but were talking the rise of Vader here, man!!! Without Anakin's Decision to join to the dark side, there would be no original trilogy.

Episodes 4, 5, and 6 were classics. I beleieve the new episodes don't live up to them. I am disappointed by that. This is another example why modern technology screws movies.

its likely that ill see it opening day with my freind shawn aka your average 14 year old movie buff that thinks that if a movie has no action in it , its gay , and if it does its ''tight'' , and if you have any problem AT ALL with any of the actors or anything that happened in the movie , he'd defend whether or not i was mistaken with his life ... i really should look for better freinds

im sorry but episode 3 just looks like a way for George Lucas to show that he has a computer, as well as all of the people on this site. I will still see it, mainly out of some nerdly obligation, just like resident evil, and yes most of uwe boll's movies. how is it that some people can make a mockery of cinema?

Then he duels with Obi-wan, falls in the ol' lava, and is lied to by the Emperor, who says the kids are dad too. THAT is why he turned to the dark side.

I'll see the movie, but only because the previews looked pretty decent,
not because I have any faith that Ol'Georgie isn't going to screw it up with all the special effects again.

But, if it is good, It'll be a good end to the . . uh . . Sixtrilogy?

I hope this will be the last movie. As cool as you might find Star Wars, if you add on to the story, it will make it suck. If you wan't to get all the extra bullshit, go read the books. Anyway, I like how they did the whole "fill in the gap" approach to this. The whole story is revealed, except for one peice of the puzzle. It just makes me orgasm.

i think the new ones are watered down and lame. its like they are for kids, with the dialoge being very cheesy, and the mythology being out of order. Im especialy uncomfortable with chewy on my two liter, because it says "Chewbacca, a nearly 200 Year old wookiee, has long been freinds with Jedi Master Yoda"

Now if i am not mistaken, in episode 5, Empire strikes back, wasnt chubaka han solo's friend who didnt belive in the force and never met Yoda durring 4, 5, & 6? so what the fuck!?!?!

why must lucas fuck up the mythology to sell more merch and advertisement colectables?
