It's stereotypical Trance music. Very well written , very competent, but just uninventive.
I'm impressed by the fact u are only 14 yet u can create full-on tracks of this nature. Very good, and i would like to hear what u go on to produce in the years to come.

This sound was great... But not yours... It was made by Pilchard, you slightly modified it. You should give him credit. I won't report this as stolen since you changed most of it... But don't do it again.

There's clipping everywhere. You didn't use a compressor. Somehow, I'm thinking that basically all of your synths are presets (even though they're very unimpressive and dull anyways). There's no EQ in sight, and everything seems to clash instead of merging smoothly together. I appologize for being harsh, but I'd be doing you no good by telling you that this is good. For somebody who's uploaded 50 tracks, I would expect better quality from you.

Perhaps what's holding you back is your hardware (you use poor quality speakers, don't you?). Perhaps it's all of the people giving you good reviews and encouraging this mediocrity. Perhaps it's the fect that you rush your work (you do a song per day, and it shows in how unfinished they sound). But more seriously, I'd recommend that you take a break from making your own music and try to recreate some professional tracks. Anything at all, as long as it's pro. After you've done 3 accurate recreations like that, I guarantee that your original work will be of much higher quality. But, 'till then, I just can't see why most of your work deserves anything more than a 3/10, mainly for the effort. Tracks like this are why I don't go to NG often.

Yes, It was insulting. But it was also quite constructive. He did go into reason why he thought it wasn't good. I mean, I'm just trying to shine the light on this a little bit. Your music can't appeal to everyone. You should take negative reviews with openness. He didn't say "YOUR MUSIC SUCSK ITS ABSOLUTE CRAP I HATE YOU ALOT RUIENED MY SPEAKERS!!" or anything close to that review directed towards monkeybulman (which was absolutly uncalled for)..that was just (like what you said Chris) lacked reason or just... I mean, he gave you his opinion on how to improve. You don't become better with absolute praise... The dude even appologized. :)

Indeed, pure praise is nice to hear and encouraging, but remarks on what to improve upon is very helpful and directs you to realize your weaknesses...am I wrong? Shit, that's how we all advance.

Anyways, it didn't seem too abusive to me is all. That's my 3 pennies.

This reminds me of why I left Newgrounds in the first place. I was sickened, more like appalled, by the way people tried to flame submissions just because they don't like them personally.

I've seen hundreds of people pick on the Clock Crew. Sure, most of their work can be considered to be "crap"...but they still put effort into submitting them right?

Besides Clock Crew, other users have tended to just BLAM the crap out of even quality flash movies. At times, they even randomly post in nonsense such as "LOLOLOLOLOLOL" and "Click this link! <Insert Outwar Link Here>". Its sad to see this kind of behavior really.

The network of audio entries are immense in Newgrounds. I personally am a bit of a music nut and I must admit, the recent Music Portal is one of the things I'm looking forward to spend my time on.

Well, the audio portal is a fun place to be - if you have a big security guard guy that will threaten to blam the crap out of any offending users (my brother as one such security) .

And once people know you the good usually outweighs the bad!

This was particularly disparaging because it was the first review I ever got... actually this was the only review I ever had a problem with. I've gotten some dumb reviews here and there, but this one just killed something pure inside me when i first read it.

WHY DID YOU STEAL THIS! :( I was listening too this song and the melody sounds very similar to the melody in the song "odysee" made by Scarf!.

today was a momendous day for me...
I ran the mile in 8:44
the last time i ran the mile was in 15:30
for the last year i have been working my ass off, and i almost was about to not finish the mile in 9 minutes, when anotehr kid, at about my skill level runs next to me on the final stretch-
we were both about to colapse and we had 30 seconds left-
but you know what, we starting racing eachother and finished the race at top speed-
i literally collapsed as i crossed the finish line-
i was so proud of myself, i had just done something i had thought impossible-

at the end my legs were burning with pain, but i continued. this one kid who i am friends with ran laps around me trying to get me to go faster-
i succeded, despite all the pain and anguish, i said screw it! i freakin ran my ass off goddammit!

NOW FOR THE MORAL OF THE STORY_
running that lap made me feel really good, not only becuase the endorphins, or good mood hormones released after a heavy workout were flowing through me, but becuase of the fact that i had acheived the impossible, i had ran the mile in under 9 minutes!

now chronomut, you are absolutly correct, on the internet you are nothing more than a popup and a crappy picture and an aim screen, but there is something connected to that screen and that popup that will always be there-
in the race, when i reached the final stretch and raced my friend, we just forgot about eveything and had a friendly competition, that noone will ever care about again after this post, accept for maybe me, thats just like reviews. Reviews are effective int he short run, yet in time they are absolutly meaningless, will they matter in 10 years? i think not!(unless its extremely funny) worrying about reviews are meaningless becuase reviews themselves are so meaningless, so i agree with chronomut

keep in mind im not i any sport, i was in wrestling last year, but i was the fish,(wrestle talk for flipping on the ground everymatch and losing, and not doing anything)*sigh* but besides that i have considerably leaned out in the last 6 months and this mile was the final step of acheivment for me :p man im utsso pround of myself

Anyways, notice that good artists generally have no continuity in their music, beyond a song every two to three MONTHS. Not a song every other day, even though the songs are creative, it's also considered rush production, the inability to sit in on your own song is just a sign that you can't hold your own.

Ask anyone who i talk to on msn how fast i can actually make music.....i don't even need an hour to make something thats satisfying to me....and if i like it myself then others shouldn't consider it as rush.....however some people may not have the complete controll over their tracks and thus they sound rushed

the most amount of time i can vouch for making a song was 3 days - and i can also back B0UNC3 up - he can make good songs pretty fast...

B0UNC3 makes music too fast, its crazy fast, i cant keep up.

B0UNC3, I figured out why a lot of your music seems familliar to me. Your songs are composed of ideas I threw away because they were too generic or unoriginal, and you made these ideas sound amazing. In other words, your songs are simple and deadly. It's as if you compose with the clean mind of a child, but the skill of a world-class DJ. Congrats!

abusive reviews suck, most people out there just wana be internet jerks cause they have the protection of anyonimity (anonamous? lol) its even a progblem in the flash portal, which isn't really surprising at all.

It sucks cause it can't really be stopped, if Mod's had to review and approve every review out there well, nothing woiuld happen to fast.

Iv never submited anythign to the protal, because i just got flash and Fruiy loops, but im sure every artist has to deal with crappy and abusive rviews somtime in their carrer here on Newgrounds.

i think what he actually meant was that since yoiu are 14, you still have many years ahead of you, and becuase of the fact that skills get better, never worse, you will make trully awsome music as time rogresses :p

This person doesn't realize that this musician is new, and obviously knows nothing in music, he's just matching the song to some great DJ he likes, he doesn't realize that the "univentive" portions of the songs are considered technical achievements in order to take the next step up. He doesn't even explain where it's inconsistent. And gives the song a review of four and a zero.

For your information I did know this person was new, i have never voted zero on any track and I gave the track in question a 3, so dont assume things when u dont have the facts.
Also i've studied Music Technology at Uni, worked in a recording studio for 1 year and been making music for 5 years, so I think I probably know a thing or two.

You guys think that maybe some people are comming into this forum, reading the bad reviews, and reviewing your songs terrible just to see it posted on here and watch you guys discuss it?

That may be the case for some of the recent inane reviews. Especially those crazy ones directed towards Extracy. From the looks of it, those people that reviewed seem to be doing it for attention. I've never seen reviews like that.
