What is your favourite movie trilogy? You can choose one of these or say another if it's not mentioned here.

The Rambo Trilogy
Star Wars - Ep 4, 5 and 6
Evil Dead
The Godfather Trilogy
Indiana Jones
Alien (I know it's a quadrilogy but it can be an exception)
Lord of the Rings
The Terminator Trilogy
The Matrix

If there are any I left out please post with your favourite.

Back to the Future.

I believe is the only one that I like that hasn't been said already ( and it may have because I am quite blind). I don't know why but I'm a huge fan of those movies. I think it caught my imagination when I was little and watching i brings back that same kind of feeling.

Looking at my DVD Collection now I realise I left out a very important trilogy. The Living Dead Trilogy (soon to become quadrilogy). It conatins Night of the Living Dead, Dawn of the Dead and Day of the Dead.

I've wanted the DVD box set for a damn long time.

The only thing I never got with Back to the Future was in Back to the Future II when Marty goes into the future how would there be an old Marty? When he got in that time machine Marty stopped exsisting in that time-line. So how could he be there and old and such.

Or so say the future assumes Marty returned from his time traveling trip. How would he've still been in that car accident. After the time travelling adventure he learned his lesson.

It just doesn't make sense to me. I wish I could explain it better. :P

Terminator? Ok, ok

1=classic
2=good and nice special effects
3= only special effects to me.

But people like what they like I guess.

That same exact question is asked in the special features. Well, let's just say that the crew came up with a really cheesy explanation. Somewhere, they confessed that they weren't planning a sequel when part 1 came out, that's why the DeLorean flew and Marty's girlfriend was aboard, as a definitive ending for part 1. When they decided to make part 2, everything was very twisted. I really don't blame them for that mistake about Marty and old Marty, seeing how complicated they made it.

I have an Evil Dead one framed above my bed. I love it. Though I am thinking about taking it down and putting up another poster or painting. Ehhh...as soon as this lazy phase I am in goes away.

Alien (I know it's a quadrilogy but it can be an exception)

I agree, a major exception. The last movie, Alien Resurection, was a fucking fluke, and a bad move. I hated that movie, it was a joke to the whole series. Even with Sigourney Weaver, it was still an aweful movie.

Lord of the Rings
The Terminator Trilogy
The Matrix

If there are any I left out please post with your favourite.

LOL, those four right there sum it up for me. In that order exaclty, really.

Yes you are correct. The prefix "tri" means "three." And for future reference:

uni=1
bi=2
quad=4
poly=many
mono=one
