Myst's Personality Survey 2005-05-08 10:39:02 Reply

Here is a little survey that will tell you all about YOU. Do not read ahead, just do the survey then read the endnotes. You don't want to screw up your end results by reading ahead. I made this for a sociology class. I did well too. Be honest when answering, or it kills the purpose. I guess we will know who to put under ‘immature’ though. : )

To do the survey, you simply read through the options of each question and pick the word that you feel best describes YOU. If you don't know a word, don’t be lazy... use a dictionary, or copy and paste into www.dictionary.com

OR

If you are really dumb, just pick a word that you know. lol. The end results will be f'd up, but just make sure you don't choose 'Intelligent' as one of your choices.

The Survey:

Section 1
Question 1:
a) Active
b) Parental
c) Authentic
d) Versatile

Question 2:
a) Opportunist
b) Traditional
c) Harmonious
d) Inventive

Question 3:
a) Spontaneous
b) Responsible
c) Compassionate
d) Competent

Section 2
Question 1:
a) Competitive
b) Practical
c) Unique
d) Curious

Question 2:
a) Impetuous
b) Sensible
c) Empathetic
d) Conceptual

Question 3:
a) Impactful
b) Dependable
c) Communicative
d) Knowledgeable

Section 3
Question 1:
a) Realistic
b) Loyal
c) Devoted
d) Theoretical

Question 2:
a) Open-minded
b) Conservative
c) Warm
d) Seeking

Question 3:
a) Adventurous
b) Organized
c) Poetic
d) Ingenious

Section 4
Question 1:
a) Daring
b) Concerned
c) Tender
d) Determined

Question 2:
a) Impulsive
b) Procedural
c) Inspirational
d) Complex

Question 3:
a) Fun
b) Cooperative
c) Dramatic
d) Composed

Section 5
Question 1:
a) Exciting
b) Orderly
c) Vivacious
d) Philosophical

Question 2:
a) Courageous
b) Conventional
c) Affectionate
d) Principled

Question 3:
a) Skillful
b) Caring
c) Sympathetic
d) Rational

Now, simply add up how many a), b), c), and d) 's you chose.
The one with the largest number, remember it. If there is a tie, and one of the ties is either a) or b), then it is most likely that you are one of those. If it is between those exact two, then read both profiles.

a) = Action
b) = Belonging
c) = Identifying
d) = Competency

COMPETENCY
(8% of General Population)

People from the Competency category seek knowledge and understanding, live life by their own standards, need explanations and answers, value intelligence, insight, fairness, and justice, and are natural non-conformists, visionaries and problem solvers. Generally these people are intellectually curios, wonder ‘what would happen if…’, love to play with words, and liked independence from authority.

Characteristics:
High achiever
Knowledge
Objective perception
Independent
Self-doubt

Creates Stresses:
Generally these people hate the elaborate use of adjectives, the inability to use or display knowledge, and the lack of recognition of high ability. Incompetence, small talk, and lack of opinions are all hated by these people.

So, what do you think? Learn something about yourself? Somewhat accurate? Which were you? Thoughts, ideas...What was really true, what wasn't?

Thanks. I liked sociology, but not as a career. It is just one of the courses that get your brain going. : )

Did you have to make this for a Psychology class? We just covered personality and I find that to be very interesting.

Well the class is a mixture of Psychology, Sociology, and Athropology. This is a Psychology related survey, but my report looked at it from a sociolical perspective and ireferred it to society etc.

We actually didn't study personalities in my class, but we had an open survey and i decided to take the initiative.

System designers

Oh well, like a system designer would be like a governement official, or maybe a business consultant. Someone who likes to set up the appropriate system, but leave it up to someone else to control while they move onto another. It is hard for a teenager to be put under that category, but maybe in your future you will see more of this quality.

Thanks! It seems it has been pretty accurate for everyone. I wish i had of done a wide spread survey like this before writing up my report... it might have proven a better thesis than the one I used.

Wow. I'm 8% of the world. Who would have thought that I was an intellectual. It decribed me to the bone, though: I hate people who are incompetent. Well, if you came up with this, major kudos to you. If you didn't, well, cantact the person who did and tell him he's good.

Well the percentages are just based on the findings i gained from my school and school only. So how accurate they are to the world, who knows. However, i surveyed teachers and students alike and in equal proportion of gender and those percentages is what i ended up with. So, they numbers could be different if i surveyed the whole world. lol. : P
