How do you make songs?

when you go to make a song, how do you do it?
when you go to make a song, do you use inspiration from something, use a thought up melody, create a song as you go, just mess around to create a song etc.

me personally, i just mess around on fruity loops with different things to make songs. on a few of my songs though i just used a loose theme to make songs.

for my v 2 rocket songs, a friend of myn just said *make a v 2 rocket song* and i went and made one, without anything but that.

what about you people?

serve it to the public

Well, you can either use special programs to DJ your music, or, if you have a band, you could always submit those songs. Just make sure if you do option 2, to make it professional sounding, or everyone will hate you. Heh heh.

Well, first I go to my local hardware store and buy a standard miner's helmet. On my way home, I stop by Dairy Queen and buy a large (it must be large) Mister Misty Freeze. After parking my car, I pull the ladder out of the garage and put it up against the side of my house. I climb up, place the miner's helmet on my head, drink the Mister Misty Freeze as fast as I possibly can until I get a brain freeze, then I jump off of the roof. In mid-air, I turn my body vertically and land flat on my head. When I come to, I wobble indoors, sit down at my computer, and make music.

nah my next song is probably gonna be another remix, i made this new song, which im going to use for the battle of the audio portal, and im probably mix that with the v 2 rocket original and create an awsome awsome song

sometimes i just messing around with some sounds in fruity loops and try to make soemthing out of it.

with my song "first level" i thought about action games.
