how long?

how does anybody find the time to make a flash or dedicate themselves to a flash? when ever i try to start one, theres always skool work to be done or somthin else or maybe a new idea comes my way and i stop the other one, or i get an idea but then the fact that i need serious help with animation and it all goes down shit creek, so my questions are:

how does one find the time to do a serious flash?

how does one learn to animate?

and if i was to make a charater that i call my own and find out i was beaten to it by 8 years, do i alter mine so that it looks like something i own...k, long story short, i thought of making a charater named "pants man" in 2004-2005, but then i was told by a friend that there already was a pants man on this site: www.vgcats.com

so if i make keep my charater that kinda looks like him and keep his name to pants man, would i be infringing copyright laws or not?

They dedicate themsleves to finishing their work and they use what ever spare time they have. Alot of flashes take over several months to complete, because the authors have a lack of time.

There are lots of ways. You can use tutorials, learn from books, have someone teach you personally, or you can do what I did, and teach yourself.

Shouldn't, you may get some flak because of a similar name but that's about it.

personally if i was to make a really similar character to one that already excisted then i'd be pissed off and scrap the idea. but thats just me.

i struggle to find time to animate flash, i'm often too tired after work when i come home at 7. and weekends are tied up visiting the girlfriend. so yeah... last time i made an animation it took a few months to complete ):

i also have serious problems with my motivation levels.

so a few nights a week i have to force myself to do some after work - not the best way to work.
