Only 1/3rd (or whatever) of console owners have any reason to get MGS4 anyway though.

And we made our intentions of punishing spoilers quickly and harshly public very quickly, which didnt happen for harry potter.

It was funny the first 3 times you saw it, after that it was just mih.

I don't even know if it would be my cup of tea, i've never played it so I wouldn't know.

With the sneaking and stuff, you could say that. And yeah, I'd say MGS is less serious with all the random, weird and funny stuff that gets added to the games.

I've heard that in one of the games after you beat a boss a mesage pops up telling you to go outside.

Lol

Flash portal used to be another tab I had running all the time, but not anymore.

Yeah, same here.

I used to B/P whenever possible but I very rarely do it anymore.

You mean, they just bin it? I find that disgraceful.

I agree, they should at least put it on clearance.

I've only heard "Snape kills dumbledoor" once in real life.

Do you just tell everybody buying harry potter that? Wow. XD

To be honest, (though it wasn't like i wasn't being honest before) I heard it a couple of times before, but thought it was fake. When i read the book (yeah i read the books, i read the first few and decided to finish the series) i was still surprised when i read what actually happened. So it turned out all right.

I read the first 6 books and loved them.

I read the first half of the 7th book then just sort of stopped.'

Its not that the 7th book was bad, just I never really got into that mood.

The Harry Potter books were good IMO, but the movies were shit. The only time I went to see one of the movies at the cinema was when my (now ex-) girlfriend wanted to go see the 5th one. Man that sucked...

I don't mind the 1st - 3rd + 5th movies....its the 4th movie that I hated.

Seriously, it was the longest book out of the seven yet that was the shortest movie out of the five. Saying that alone should point out just how much they cut out.

Jesus christ that movie made me really pissed off.

I like books and i'm pretty open to anything. I'll pick anything (bands, tv shows, books, movies) as long as its reccomended by someone. The HP books where okay, not amazing, but a decent read.

The bourne identity books were amazing if that kind of thing floats your boat.

Seriously, the movies were great but if you've read the books then watch the movie then the movie sucks so hard in comparrision its funny.

Yes that happens quite a bit. One series that i'm curious about is Dexter, I hear the books are better than the show, but the show is absolutely amazing.

I hated all of them... mostly because Daniel Radcliffe is the ugliest, least talented actor EVER. He apparently only got the part because he was related to someone working on the film (can't recall who).

Seriously, it was the longest book out of the seven yet that was the shortest movie out of the five. Saying that alone should point out just how much they cut out.

The 5th book should never have been allowed to be published at that length. Rowling was just being stupid and trying to continue her streak of making each new book longer than the last, and went overboard with the 5th one.

At 7/10/08 09:08 PM, smc316 wrote: The bourne identity books were amazing if that kind of thing floats your boat.

Might have to read those, I've only seen the movies, which I REALLY liked.

Which book did Dumbledore die in? I read up to that book, and haven't read past that. Haha, I haven't finished a book for real since last summer when I read Insomnia by Stephen King. There's so many books that I want to read, but just haven't gotten around to it yet.

Hey NEVR, the 5th book was about 250 pages shorter than the 4th book.

Neither am I, haven't read any of the books in years minus my attempt and failure at reading the 7th.

Speaking of harry potter, I got quite the chuckle out of this thread way back when.

Nostalgia FYI.

Upon further investigation, you're wrong. I looked it up online, the 4th one is 640 pages, and the 5th one is 768 pages.

Hey since I never actually get into these kinds of arguements I was wondering, do all the people from England and the rest of Europe hate the US solely for its government or is their another part of it?

I avoid those debates/arguements so I don't really know.

From my viewpoint of the whole thing:

1. Not everyone from the UK and Europe hates the USA -- that's simply the impression you get from the amount of anti-america threads in the General forums and the like.

2. Most British and European people are either pro-USA or have no real opinion either way.

3. Most anti-USA things that you hear British or Europeans say will most likely be intended in a satirical manner rather than a serious insult or argument against the USA. It's only due to dumb kids who don't understand taking this shit seriously when they see it on the internet that it becomes people's actual opinion -- albeit a somewhat diluted opinion.

4. On the rare occasion that you meet someone from these countries who is actually serioualy anti-USA of their own accord, they are in the minority.

I avoid those debates/arguements so I don't really know.

It's all stupid e-drama. IMO any threads about whose country is better should just be avoided at all costs. Unless you're cellardoor6.

So today I played Dungeons & Dragons for the first time.

I went with my cousin to his friends house where I had the decision of playing or watching, so I played.

So, now I'm a Level 4 Human Sorcerer.

And know I have kick-ass spells and all that shit because I "rolled good".

I'm just afraid of getting to addicted and end up having it engulf my life.

Does anyone else play D&D?

Is it as addicting as I hear WoW is?

Its probably because hes right most of the time and people can't accept that their wrong.
