Life-stream left NG wearing my sig.
I'm touched, and not the molested kind.
Anyways, I finally went to see The Hulk today (seeing it one week after release is awesome cause the theaters have significantly less rowdy whippersnappers).
*Spoilers ahead, don't read if you haven't seen the movie*

I walked in with the only expectation that it would be better than Ang Lee's flick, so I'd say I was satisfied to the extent that my expectation was thoroughly met. However, The Hulk being better than or even on par with Iron Man was kinda a laughable idea IMO. The opening was great, and everything was actually pretty good until the point where Norton actually becomes the embodiment of the Hulk. From then on, it's like a downward action spiral with a predictable linear storyline, diluted dialogue, shoddy character development, and semi-corny bits of slapstick humor. Everything felt like it was just filler between the action sequences (which quite frankly were at some points so shaky and chaotic that they became a little boring).
Ed's, Liv's, and Tim's performances along with Stan Lee's cameo, superb CGI effects, and a pretty epic final battle are some of the redeeming qualities that prevented the movie from sucking. But, even the final battle is weird in the sense that Hulk doesn't kill the baddie in the end giving us a sense of resolution but he instead leaves the baddie struggling for air in a weakened state. Now, while this is a good way to create distinction between the hero and the villain, it left me wondering what exactly happened after the villain recovered? .... I mean, especially since he was supposed to have an accelerated healing system?
Oh well, Tony Stark is cool and so was seeing Zanzibar several times.
ZANZIBAH!
Worth my $11.
