Do you really think all that effort is really needed ... to allow one vote not to go to waste? That seems almost selfish of you while trying to be selfless

I know my post is rather odd sounding (I should've proof read it before posting) but how is letting someone vote selfish?

We are currently dealing with some crossover issues from mid-month submissions, although this will continue to be the case, unless it is featured on the front page on the day of submission, before winning an award (in which case it would have been a nominee for April but not May).

Speaking of issues... I don't know if you read the posts from the guy earlier in this thread (page 2 or 3) who had a frontpage movie on 4/1, but it's not in the running for this months' awards.

In addition, did you (or anyone else besides me) notice that Kitten Cannon is up for the April Awards after it was already up for the MARCH Awards?

It was submitted on March 30th, IIRC, and it must have gotten into the March Awards with a daily award... and then gotten into the April Awards with you frontpaging it on April 1st (or something similar).

Do you or liljim know how that happened, and why the poor bastard earlier in this topic got shafted (he can't vote, either, but I'm sure he's more concerned about his movie not being up for the voting).?

No problemo.

Maybe I should submit stuff towards the end of the month next time :)

Last month, I voted for something submitted on the first day of the month. Some of us have long memories. #;-}> Anyway, man, don't worry... I gotcher back, as you might have guessed from my long-ass review (thanks for the response to it, BTW!). Starfighter was way too damned good to ignore for this voting. In fact, it made #1 on my list. Dun-dun-dun-DUUUUN!

But i still think that there should be a different category for movies and games. Top 5 movies and Top 5 games. The two are made differently and require different talents to make. So it would be a shame to see some really good games go unnoticed because of other great movies and vice-versa.

Okay, I finally cast my vote. I wasn't very active this month, so I just voted on a few I liked that I actually watched.

Thanks to the extension of the date, I was still able to get my vote in.

1 - Las aventuras de Mr.Coor
2 - BR III: Gemini
3 - Present
4 - OPS!
5 - Ramen Flash

I still really think the voting period should officially be made longer. Wasn't able to give it as much attention as I'd have liked, but tried to judge the stuff as best I could.

Tom doesent really have that kind of money genuis

250.00$X5=1250.00$

now multiply that by 2 for the games catagory

2500.00$ enough to support me in my apartment right now. Do you really think tom has that kind of money?

I know, I should've posted this a while ago, but I was banned when I wanted to, so here are my votes.

Oh, and to the guy who suggested the top 5 flash movies and games thing, that's pointless, games and movie are regardless to how they are awarded in the portal and it shouldn't be any different in this case, and like he said, $2,500!!

How do you find out if your in the top 2,000 users? I'm ranked # 31,056 out of 737,505 users for experience & I'm ranked # 5,812 out of 737,505 users for Blam/Protect.

I added the "2008 Kucinich" thing to my sig less than 24 hours before he dropped out of the race and has been too lazy to change it. <_<

well since you're not in the top 2000 in either of these categories you're not in the top 2000

Sad...I'm still seeing people vote for sprite flashes and even videos! It specificly says to not vote for videos, and people are still throwing their votes away at effortless crap.

Piss off...you do the exact same thing as spriters and its called tweening. I'ved watch my friend tootbook make a sprite animation, and frankly. I think its wayyyyy easier to draw. It takes less time the computer lags up less plus its faster. Plus with sprites you HAVE to have a ton of layers. I dont really work with sprites at all unless i'm just making a 7 second long movie for fun and if I do its pretty low quality. So before you go off acting all high and mighty why dont you just realize that sprite artist work just as hard as anyone else at animating. If not harder

When can we expect to see the results? I'm so anxious. :D

Kitten Cannon might win something! It'd be the first money I'd make working in flash, and I'd finally prove to all of my skeptical friends and my parents that the "shit" I do in my room is actually worth something to someone sometimes. :D

So the top 2000 ppl vote by what they enjoy instead of what they should??
Man did all of you have seen the movies and games of last month???
I come to feel the bad taste of democracy.
