Wow, Tim, I'm pretty much illiterate when it comes to servers, but you explained that in such a way that even this idiot could understand (to a certain extent) what was going on. It was actually interesting to read what was happening with the servers and how you have fixed the problem. Good job!

I read every word of that and it made about as much sense as a Jew driving a Bug. Oh well. Sounds nice. Hopefully it does some good. Now, you just need to code some kind of moronic queer repellant program for NG. NG is to annoying goth/ICP douches as shit is to flies. We need to get rid of all the flies so that the dogs can eat the shit and recieve the protein they missed the first time it passed through them. Yeah... NEW FAMILY GUY THIS SUNDAY!!!

Cool stuff. Now just get rid of all those damned popups in the Portal. There's like a million, even for a registered user. The same goes for clicking into a submission. About a billion popups, popup, after you click one. then you hit back 3 times to get back to the main page, and a million more, popup.

Just get FireFox, it has a built in pop-up blocker. Or if you really like Internet Explorer (which I'm only asuming you already use) you could go and download Google Toolbar.

Well, I didn't notice anything at all, but I wasn't using NG a ton this afternoon. Thanks for finally getting the load balancer up, Tim. I know you'd planned on doing it in early March, but a baby's birth decided to go and delay everything for awhile. Had no idea at the time it would be like 8 weeks later, but better late than never! What the hell? The different IP addresses Tim was talking about are NG SERVERS, not something assigned to a user. Under the old system, your computer was directed to one of those IP addies when it tried to go to NG, and if there was a problem with that server, then you were shit outta luck instead of something along the way being smart enough to REDIRECT YOUR COMP to another server due to the crash on the first server. That's where the load-balancer comes in, to ensure that problem doesn't happen. It balances... the load. Wow! #;-}>

So anyway, in short: Your IP doesn't change (unless you have AOL or something), so no, this has nothing to do with being able to vote on the same movie more than once.
