...Holy fuck Tritone I haven't seen you around in ages. How are ya'? What have you been up to lately?

Hey man -- good to be back.

I started my first year in law school (@ University of Pennsylvania Law School) and I've been immersed, to say the least, in law school work. Or rather, I just haven't made the time for music that I used to... and that makes me a bad person.

I'm gonna try and get back to recording and composing this weekend. I've been playing here and there, and checking out a lot of guitarists that I hadn't listened to before (i.e. Yngwie, Paul Gilbert) and my playing has gotten sharper. Not to mention, I got Cubase SE as a Christmas gift, and have simply been letting it gather dust since then.

But, now I plan to be back.

How have things been with you?

Pretty damn good. I got a keyboard now and I've been having a lot of fun learning to play it. I've gotten slightly better at song-writing so that's also nice. Overall I've just been trying to improve in all aspects of music. Glad to see you back though man. Good luck with Law School, it must be a lot of hard work. Hope to see some new tunes from you at some point.

Maybe, but still seems JUST like the advertisement thread. Cept not as many people use this one like you said... But Still people will either check the first or the last page of a thread, so advertisement thread is good until a page is taken up after you post.

Hey everyone. I was wondering if any jazz writers could critique this smooth jazz song I wrote.

Don't mind the sound. I wrote it in Finale PrintMusic (and recorded it with Audacity), so I couldn't mix it very well.

I'm sure anyone can give me some tips on the mastering/mixing of my uploaded choons.
I'm at the moment finishing some new tracks, and I'm still having the same problems I had from the beginning.
I'd be really thankful if anyone experienced could give me some hints on it.

I stumbled upon this song this morning and I'm absolutely fascinated with it. The lyrics are catchy and funny, and I love the sound of the acoustic guitar and horn. I hope this artist puts more music on NG.
