I reckon there are a few people who lie about their age. You can usually tell by the age on their alt accounts.

Well, I don't lie about my age, but if there's ever a number on the age, then it's fake. I just don't want to mention my age, that's all. I am older than 13, but I just want to keep my age a secret. And if I did have a ridiculous age, people would think I'm under 13, which I'm not. :S

When i first came to NG, when i had just turned 14, i said that i was 16, in order to gain a little respect, because the stuff that i did was so n00by, for example asking someone to send me the program Flash cos i couldn't afford it :/

Seriously, though, I've never saw the point of lying to anyone about my age, whether it be online or off. Maybe if by telling an internet forum I was 25 I'd gain something, then sure, why not. But I wouldn't gain anything, not respect; not any particular benefits. Nothing. Therefore, I like to be completely honest. Completely. 100%.
