I've never met anyone that can beat me at that game. I usually have 3 friends on a team against me, and I still pwn.
I didn't really get very good at Melee, cuz I don't own a GC. I'd like to play an online Road Rash game, those are great.

I wonder if they'll ever make it with actual 3D movement, y'know, like Power Stone style.

No..the gameplay should not be tampered with, why try and fix whats not broken. It just needs more characters and some extra gameplay things and an online mode. Yeah like ArtistJ said, Megaman would be pretty sweet to get in on the action.
Characters I'd Love To See:
Sonic, Knuckles, Chaos, Shadow, Vectorman, Megaman, MegamanX, and Zero

Face it, I would own you all at that game.
With the following:
Fox
Dr. Falco
Zelda/Sheik
Link
Roy
Pikachu
Marth
Game & Watch
I've fully completed that game, makes me sad I sold it
And I hit sandbag around 5000
I pwn. And we'd have a match with NO items, that's for the wussies.

I also won many SSB tournaments at the PNE.
Funny story too, we're having a four player match and someone called sheik a fag. So I hurted him.

Actually, SSB would probably hae minimal lag because its a sort of 2Dish sidescroller bases game with polygons. It's not like Halo or Socom where you have lots of big environments to lag you. Plus, we have come even further in internet performance on games since the the current systems that use it. I think lag would be no problem on the NR.

Revolution will be online right out of the box, it has Wi-Fi built in. Nintendo learned their mistake with not having a plethera of online games ont he Gamecube.

No one here has a right to say they would own anyone at any smash brothers match, unless your nams is Ken, Azen, or Isai. They are the top 3 in the US right now, I watched all three of them at the Melee:FC tournament in Inidana. Fucking insane -_-
Anyways I would love a smash bros online. But I don't know how the new controller will work... It's rumored to be like a DS, which would suck ass for smash brothers >:(

Haven't you noticed the good amount of Sonic games on the GameCube! Nintendo rents out the rights to it basically..and stop ruining the fantasy of Sega characters in SSB for people like me!

Id play it if nintendo went back to symmetrical controllors. the game cube controllor pisses me off, there is no reason for A to be enormous and b to be really small.

whoever says Nintendo has a bad history of being online know nothing about Nintendo's history.
facts:
Nintendo has more online experience than any other game company
Nintendo went onlin back in the 80's with the NES
SNES had online play with the X-band
Nintendo pioneered satelite play to millions of Japanese
Nintendo worked with Microsoft for online play
The N64 had an add on drive called the 64DD that put it online and upgraded storage media
the GameCube has broadband adapter
the Nintendo DS is wi-fi enabled
even the Game Boy had a hookup to cell phones so you could play games online
NINTENDO IS UNVEILING ITS ONLINE PLANS IN MAY AT THE E3 AND WILL TOTALLY OWN EVERYONE ONLINE
just so everyone knows, Nintendo could have literally owned the internet because the NES was in 1/3 of every house - more people had a NES than a computer. with its modem accessory Nintendo was going to create browsers for people to shop, get news, stock quotes, and play online games. If the government didn't put a stop to it we'd probably all be running Nintendo software instead of something like AOL.
they did not say they made a mistake with the GameCube. the GameCube is online and actually has a lot of players online (I and all my friends play online with it). check out these polls:
about 70% of gamers don't think online play is very important
Online is not as important as you may think
about 70% of gamers don't consider online play for consoles purchases
about 70% of gamers don't consider online play for game purchases
but the trend is changing:
about 35% want online, and another 36% would like it
Nintendo pays a lot of people a lot of money to research what the audience wants. They see online play has finally come of age and are making their next home console wi-fi online right out of the box with an incredible online plan. dont let stupid Sony fanboys tell you any different *cough*dapope*cough*

its to keep you from pressing the b button accidentally. the a button is the primary button. no Nintendo controller has ever been symetrical. it's had a crosspad on one side and buttons on the other.
but rumor has it that their next console won't even have buttons or a crosspad. this is only a rumor, and there are some other rumors as to what it could possibly be... and it could be very revolutionary and awesome.

I'd love to see the ultimate battle of Mario and Luigi V.S. Sonic and Tails. And maybe they'd throw in Chaos and Shadow for good measure as characters in the game. And I'd also love to see them use other Sega characters like Vectorman.
I kinda wish Ninty and Microsoft were together. Not only would they have the best consol ever (Microsoft hardware and live with Gamecube controller and Nintendo software0
but we will finally have proff that Samus PWN's MC.
