Help! I've been glued to this game

I can stop playing pokemon sapphrie version! I've been glued to it for like 2 months. Help me! I'm even playing with one hand and typing with the other. Any suggestions that don't involve breaking the gameboy.

Although I have outgrown Pokemon, the gameboy ones are pretty good. I have only player the first one, but it was addicting. There used to be like 100 pokemon, now there is like 1000 so I can;t keep up with it, plus I am little too old for it anyways.

Are you playing to finish, to collect all the pokemon?

If there's some realistic goal and you don't mind going for it, just go for it, finish the game and be done with it.

If there isn't, or you're sick of it but just can't pull away.. hide your GBA for awhile. Just don't touch it at all.

A good way to get off a game is to just find something else to occupy your time with. At least that's what I've found. :b

I'm not addicted because it's pokemon. I just like the concept of the game. If there was another game like it that wasn't about pokemon I'd probably be addicted to that. I think the show and stuff is total crap.

There are 3 cures for addiciton:
1 - cold turkey. This is unpleasent, and it is probable that you don't want to do this.
2 - Gradually ween yourself off it, play it for say 5 minutes less each day.
3 - Addictions can be replaces with different addictions. You can spend all your gaming time reading, watching TV, etc.

-Break dance! (not really) learn D.I.Y and make a table or a wooden gameboy.
-get a hobby or play sport. preflably a full contact sport so if you get picked on, then you'll be strong enough to stick up for yourself.
-get nitendo DS and get interactive!
-get a girlfriend. but dont aim to high!
