This concerns anyone who is in the graphic industry.

Deviantart FAQ 298

I still don't get what the bleed line is. If someone could explain it to by maybe showing an example it would be very helpful, thank you.

I'm not sure but I think it's the area that gets cut off while printing, if that makes sense.

Yeah ok I got that part, but I don't really get the margin. Does this mean if I made a 1000x1000 px image and the margin is 5 percent,

1000/20= 50px

then 50px gets cut off.

Well, I don't how big that would be printed out. But it looks like the biggest bleed line you're going to have to deal with would be 1/4 inch. So just make sure you have that much room on all sides and you'll be fine.

it explanes it really well there

think about a sticker sheet

do you ever get them or did when you were young?

see how the sticker is bigger then when you pull it off the paper? there is like an outline thing?

a bleed line is to make up for whatever is printied being cut wrong...

uhm when you print something there arnt any pixles

thers dpi but thers no pixles in real life

the margins are 5% that means youd ADD 5% to an 8x10

Yeah thanks. That means it would become 8.4 by 10.5 inches?
