Well, hi guys I'm back.
So, I still haven't found out how to create a saw lead/synth, so I'm going to ask again.
How does one do that?
Well, the easiest program to use would be z3ta. That VSTi makes the best saw leads imaginable (unless you are B0UNC3). You choose 2 vintage saws with a low freq. sine^2 wave. You set that low freq. wave to max speed. Then, on the bottom, you click "source" and choose "lfo1". Where is says "range" move up one bar. Where it says "curve" select "fast -". For control, select "eg1". For destination, choose "all osc pitch".
Then, go to envelopes. Take the "A" envelope and turn slope, decay, sustain, and amount all the way up. Then, create another envelope and do the same, except turn release up too for this one.
Now, go to the saws. Make one +1 octave and another +2 octave. Then, make the +2 octave one +37.5 cents. After, change the mode to "normal, free". From there, add a 6-voice chorus and optionally some reverb, delay, or a compressor.
That will give you a pretty generic trance dual-saw lead. Also, if you don't have z3ta, send me a PM and I will tell you how to do something else.
