Hmm. Is there a way to use instrumental sections such as brass or woodwind?
All my stuff so far has techno instruments, a guitar and a piano. I don't want to use boring instruments.

Please help me! I am trying to get the FL Studio 7 demo, but there is always an error when it is about to finish. It is unable to write some files and it is getting me angry >:( Does anyone know a site where I can get it, the links in Tucows , but the first ones that show up for me are all giving me this error problem.

Also, do you need a MIDI controlleror keyboard to use FL, or can I get by with just my typing keyboard (for now)?

You'll have to download external plug-ins. For brass and woodwind i suggest edirol orchestral.

How do I get .sf2 files to work with fruity loops?

In your browser (in FL) go down to where you see "soundfonts" then right click on it and select "explore this folder" then place all your soundfonts (sf2 files) into this folder.

Within FL you should then see your new soundfonts, in that section of your browser, just doubleclick on the file you want and you're all set!

Em,i dunno if this was asked already,but,how do i stop the WASP pads from staying making noise through the whole song?

I think this may be it. Click on the instrument, and when the popup instrument screen comes up, there should be a button that says use loop points, click on it.. I think that should do the trick

Eh,cant find it :P its in the wasp genrator,if that makes a difference....

Triple post errr sorry, but if you use the fl preset pads than what I told you should work, I donno about WASP though.

Right click the channel and select "Send to Piano Roll"

Hey, I'm making in the process of making a beat, right now everything is going good, however, I have a pad going on in the song, all I have to do is hit it once and it just keeps going. I want to end my song abruptly, but with the pad going, the beat will stop and the pad won't. Is there any way that I can specify when / where my pad will stop?

if you are wondering how to make a pendulum bass line, go to sytrus and pick a bass preset-and go to filt 1 and change the lfo's wavepath or wahtevr so it is strainght and the grey squiggle touches the top. then change the speed (spd). close for a grumbling bass, far for a squelch.

Knobs aren't there to look pretty. Read the help menu about it, or just turn the knobs or flick switches until you learn what they do.

Hey guys, I'm having a problem rendering out my songs, recently started using FL studio so i've still got lodes to learn, but when I try to render something it only does about 8 seconds and thats it, hope someone can help. :)

Make sure you've got "Song" selected and not "pattern"

you'll find it just to the left of the play button

Yeah someone else told me to do that, tryed it again just now and it only did 1 second :( this is getting stressing lol

The only other thing, how many bars are taken up by your patterns?

Look on your playlist and see how many bars it takes up

Usually this problem is fixed by just changing to "Song" if that didn't solve your problem, the only thing left is to ensure that you have placed all your patterns on the playlist

Do all your patterns play through as you expect them to, when you hit play?

I dont think their is, it is meant to be a demo so you;ll want to save and therefore buy it.

Could you reword that? It doesn't really make sense to me, but I think you mean more samples? You'd have to buy it and download or buy more samples if thats what you mean

I assume you mean when you click on them it wont make a sound, and thats simply because... Well I dont know, but open it in a new channel, and you will be able to hear it if you lay out a pattern.

If you mean the things that will give you a short little melody like under packs/symsynth when you left click them.. I never have figured those out, and you're better of just making your own melody. Sorry I couldnt be of more help.

If you want to be a cheap bastard, find a registry entry with a registration and set the year of the computer back 1 year.

In the step sequencer(The thing where the channels are listed) There is a box above the volume controls, and when you hover it the status bar says "beat per bar", slide it up and down to change it

The list on the left is mainly presets for cetain generators, you have to have a channel with the correct generator to use a preset for it.

If you need me to explain more, just say so

Okay I have a problem... Whenever I put a note into piano roll, I can't move it around. Instead, when i click on it to slide it around, it just grows or shrinks with the mouse... How can i fix this? I've had this problem in the past and it just went away eventually I think, but is there any better way to get rid of it?
