All of my acoustic guitar samples sound really off key/high pitch. Like, when I play repetetive notes, or play around on the keyboard, I get a way higher pitch sound than what I hear when I click the sample in the sample browser. Turning the pitch nob all the way down doesn't really help, as it just makes the sample sound weird. What can I do to fix this?
If you're getting a higher pitch than when you "sample" it you're root Note setting has probably been changed. Click the Sampler info box, MISC tab, and go to the bottom fo the window. The C5 should have an orange square around it. If it doesn't, then your root note setting is off. Most samples need to be rooted at C5. There are some, though, which are "multi-sampled", ie. a sample kit that has it's notes sampled out at intervals, usually from 4-7 semitones, which are rooted at their actual center note interval. It sounds like this is NOT the case here.
To fix it, right click over the C5 and the orange box should reappear on it. Bam, problem should be solved.
