I don't know what I did, but for whatever reason the piano roll is covering almost the entire screen; it won't let me resize it by dragging the borders, and I haven't found any other way to get it back to it's normal size.. I have tried closing and reopening the piano roll, and restarting FL Studios and opening it back up, and that didn't work. How can I fix this?

I can think of 2 solutions:
1: Press enter when you opened the Piano Roll
2: You accidentally clicked on the ''View browser'' button, making the browser dissappear and the Piano Roll larger. Click on the ''View browser'' button again (the button at the right from the piano roll button).

Double click the bar with all the tool icons in your piano roll. You maximized it.
Try doing this in any windows application, double clicking the title bar will maximize the window, double clicking it again will resize it back to its original size.

It was the first one, thanks.

I havn't had any luck with rewireing FL into FL, unsure if I'm doing it wrong, or if its not pausible.

I assume you send out midi data to other software, then get the audio the generate back to FL studio through Rewired. The midi out plugin only sends midi data to a midi bus, so it doesn't involve an actual audio signal. The actual audio signal, coming from your external plugin, comes back to Fl studio through your instance of Rewired. You can assign a mixer track to Rewired, to add effects to the audio from your plugin. Hope that helps.

Im affraid I don't know what you mean.
I have my play vsl open, the first instrument i loaded is channel one and is connected to the midi out.
Where do I go from there?

Midi Out channels cannot be loaded into the Mixer, only Generators, ie. the actual VSL VST, can be loaded. Any effects you throw on a multi-midi VST like VSL, Edirol, etc. will effect the entire library/VST, so if you wanted to have differeing FX on each instrument, you'll need to use VSL's onboard FX or use different instances of VSL loaded into different mixer channels rather than the midi-out structure you're using now

Okay, lets get a few things straight here;

1. This is a topic about helping users out with FL Studio.
2. Having said that, this is not a topic to post your songs and tell us you're a noob. We don't need you to tell us that!
3. You need to ask something specific about FL Studio, not "how can you guys improve my song because i think im a portal noob."
5. Song ads go here. Not in this topic.

Did i miss anything? Or have i basically covered why you dont post a song and ask for help[ for a noob here?

there's another way to do it, there's no way loading multiple intances is the only way.
FL only has a 4 gig limit on an OS 64 bit. Loading multiple PLAYs, Kontakts, Vienna, and omnispheres would hog way too much room.

If you read, you'd note I stated that FX loaded on a mixer channel affect every midi channel on that generator so yes, if you want each instrument inside of a multi-out VST to have it's own FX, there are only those two ways: new instances or using FX inside of the generator itself. There is no other way. Midi Out won't load into an Insert channel, only generators will. And VSL, Kontakt, etc. are all mutli-midi out generators, so you need to start learning how to use their in-VST FX chaining or compose on sheet, use multiple instances and bounce down to audio, which will easily free up memory and make your life less hectic. Those are your choices.

I'm having trouble getting my axiom keyboard to work in FL 8, particularly the play, stop, etc (transport controls I believe is the technical term). I've read that a solution is to enable MMC, but I don't know how this is done in FL. Anyone understand what I am talking about, and how I can fix this? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Set the Axiom to preset 15 and in FL 8 set it to generic controller type. I would also make sure that the Axiom is checked in the Input and Output midi sides, as that's how the BCF fader unit I run has to be setup to work.

I'll assume you're referring to the "Step Sequencer."

Which, is something that is not maintained by a key, however, you can change the pitch of individual samples used as channels in the step sequencer by clicking the channel name and tweaking the 'pitch' knob in the controller view.

Sadly this is false.

There's a little keyboard button on the upper right corner that allows you to alter the pitch of any given step.

hey... I'm using the FLStudio 8, trial version. Just bought FL Studio 9.

You may know, trial version cannot save project files. But if I own FLS 9, I have a project open in FL 8 DEMO, can I swap it to FLS9 to save the file?

this is kinda hard to explain but in the piano roll i can move every note however far i want instead of each little square how it normally is. how do i stop that? if anyone can figure out what i mean.

click the waffle, the right most button in the selection of buttons in the top left of the piano roll window, the 1 step option is to snap to each square usually.

Well, for vibrato you could try Fruity Vibrator, or add an lfo in a filter or Envelope Controller to the pitch control. You can even automate the lfo speed for more realistic sounds.
It would be tougher for the guitar, though. Your best bet would be to layer effects along with the guitar sound, or if you wanna synthesize it then you should add a little blunt tap at the sustain part of the ADSR, or wherever else you need.
I hope this answers your question.

All of my acoustic guitar samples sound really off key/high pitch. Like, when I play repetetive notes, or play around on the keyboard, I get a way higher pitch sound than what I hear when I click the sample in the sample browser. Turning the pitch nob all the way down doesn't really help, as it just makes the sample sound weird. What can I do to fix this?

If you're getting a higher pitch than when you "sample" it you're root Note setting has probably been changed. Click the Sampler info box, MISC tab, and go to the bottom fo the window. The C5 should have an orange square around it. If it doesn't, then your root note setting is off. Most samples need to be rooted at C5. There are some, though, which are "multi-sampled", ie. a sample kit that has it's notes sampled out at intervals, usually from 4-7 semitones, which are rooted at their actual center note interval. It sounds like this is NOT the case here.

To fix it, right click over the C5 and the orange box should reappear on it. Bam, problem should be solved.

I have proteus x, it came with a midi keyboard I bought a long time ago. I was curious if anyone knew how to route the VST through FL studio other than the traditional way of bringing a vst into fl studio through a channel and whatnot. Proteus has these enormous soundbanks that are based on samples rather than synthesis, and its extremely bulky and heavy on system resources to have multiple instances of it in one fl file. So I was hoping theres a way to route each of the voices I'd like to use in proteus to their own individual channels in fl studio. Any help?

Hmm... inside of the VST, are there multiple sound-choices? (Look in the picture below to see what I mean). If there are, you can route them to MIDI channels and select what samples you want for each MIDI channel.
