Hey! I was working on some vocal stuff, with a human recorded voice, but didn't know if it was possible to make it sound like a robot, or atleast make it sound electronic!
Thanks!

You should use the Vocoder plugin
It's explained here
Short explanation if you don't want to watch the movie:
You pan your voice fully to the left, and you pan a robotic sound fully to the right
Then put the vocoder over it and switch those knobs till you get the right sound

Hey, I got a few simple, noobish questions.

Firstly, as of a few days ago my playlist is fully shown. The scroll bar on the right side is off of the screen, and I can't figure out how to reformat the playlist so that I can see it in it's entirety. So ya, if anyone knows about that.

Second, I just watched the Vocoder tutorial linked above, and I saw the guy talking directly into the mixer through his microphone. He did this by opening the mixer and opening the "In" window and then clicking his sound driver, but when I open the "In" window in my mixer, it just says "none". Is there some way that I can get my computer to recognize the headphones that are plugged into my computer, and allow me just to talk into FL?

Hopefully the questions made sense, thanks in advance

A heavy bassline is my kind of silence.

Enjoy progressive house? Then listen to my song.

I've been having this problem with FL Studio 8: sometimes I get this buzzing or high-pitched sound in the background after I record my songs. I have tried to adjust my ASIO4ALL audio settings but it just doesn't work. I've tried highering the buffer length it doesn't work, I've tried lowering as much as possible without the underruns it still doesn't work. Sometimes, not only that it makes that buzzing sound but it also doubles the sound of the instruments, but I'm not sure if those two problems are connected. Please help!

I'm having a problem with sampling. Everytime I make a Hardcore kick, then save it as a WAV file, it reduces the volume CONSIDERABLY. How do I fix this?

not quite sure what your talking about, but when in the playlist hold down Ctrl and move your rolly thing on your mouse....or in the playlist right click on the magnifying glass and chose from the following options that pop up.

Hope that helped.

I only got 1 question (I dont really know if this is noobish or not)
When submitting a music file it says you must wait for a mod to approve of it
How long does that generally take?

This isn't connected to Fruity Loops. Anyways, wait a week, if it's not approved, PM an Audio Mod in a polite way, asking what happened. I doubt you got banned.

I got a question. Can someone explain. For example I made a beat, but I want that the first beat hits the left speaker, the 2nd hits the right, the 3rd hits the left and so on that the speakers always swap! Can somebody help me please?

Thanks in advance.

Depending on the sample you used, it could have a panning preset to it. So, it would naturally switch from side to side. Unless you have some sort of mixer preset that has panning in it, i dont know what else to tell you.

Look at my previous post for my question.

When you open up Fruity Loops, look to the left of the page. There, look for a title that reads "Packs". The description should read 'Sorted packs of samples / patches'.

Open it up, and browse around. Once you find something you like, right click and select 'Open in new channel'.

Hope that helps! I may have misread your post though.

Not sure about this. Have never used Fruity Loops to record with a microphone.

Follow these instructions:
File > New from template > Utility > Recording

Hopefully someone else here can tell you more.

You need to open up the mixer and take one of the inserts and assign edison to it. This will allow you to record.

Make sure you disable the send to master on the insert you select. that's where my pointer is. This will keep your recording from playing through the speakers and making feedback. My next post will detail what to do with this recording.

I just noticed this
God forbid a fully featured software program for professional quality music production have a learning curve.

fucking hell.

Once you've got your audio track you'll want to send it to the playlist as a sound clip so you can include it in a song.

My god.

I'm gonna go ahead and suggest you find a tutorial for FL somewhere before you ask every single possible question about music production in FL.

See those horizontal bars on the right, with the little arrows next to them? Where, in the picture, it says 'edison' ?

Click the arrow.

Fl Studio Basics in 10 minutes

Yes, 10 minutes. Have some patience and sit through the whole thing. You should have most, if not all, of your questions answered in that tutorial.

I'm gonna go out on a limb... and call bullshit. You might think you do, but you clearly can't imagine the capability of the software you're using. Ten minutes is not very much time to improve your music.

Okay, i sort of figured out how to do a few tracks as swing-tracks. I basically added allo the patterns that i didnt want to have a swing on them into the Piano Roll, then kept a few as step sequencers. Then i changed the swing.

I thought there might be an easier way.

Hmm.
Try adjusting the Output/input on the bottom right corner of the master track.
That might do it. Not exactly sure, but its worth a try.
