Hi there im working on fl for month-month and a half now and have some questions here.
1 . Kicks : What effects should i use for kicks , atm i use soundgoodizer and compressor. Are there any other important that can improve my kicks?
you should first start off with a good kick, you can't polish a turd etc. (but sometimes you can...) im presuming your using the default fl studio kicks.
you might find some good kicks here;
or if your ready to invest in some more pro sounding sample packs heres a few (the more processed they are the better they sound but the harder they are to modify to how you like):
Tom Pentons essential percussion (very raw)
Synthation libraries (quite processed)
Vengeance libraries (very processed)
most beginners will simply take a kick, change the eq around a bit and some compression. if you want a better kick sounding the way you exactly want it then you should layer up kicks with the characteristics you want, eq out the stuff you don't want on the individual kicks and maybe some compression to glue it together, this way you'll have a more unique and individual sounding kick with all the characteristics you would want.
for eqing on kicks overall, i usually put a cut around 25hz to 35hz depending on what i'm making and how the kick sounds, this gets rid off super sub frequencies that you can hardly hear but take up alot of volume (ie. unused volume). maybe a small dip around the 250hz-500hz, again depending on the kick, this is the 'muddy area', the snare will sit here aswell so you want to keep this area relatively clear for that, a boost around 1k for more woody click, and a cut at the top around 11khz to 15khz so it doesn't mix with the pads/synths/hats on the top end.
bleh, long complicated description...
2 . Bass : Any recommendations for my bass, if i want to make them little ''punchy'' or even better i still dont have any plugin with good basses. Simply every bass i take it sounds bad and spoils whole song, so i guess its effects again, what effects should i use for bass ?
well good basses can be made in pretty much every synth, just use some pitched down sines, saws and squares, maybe triangles and layer some higher detuned saws/square maybe and put it through some distortion. Or you might wanna search around the internet for some bass guitar or other bass instrument soundfonts if your an acoustic kind of guy.
you might wanna learn about sidechaining if you want good bass aswell.
3. Is there any effect that can add portamento on my synth. So far i saw it in V-Station it can sound really nice and can get the ATC(remeber dont stop,9pm) pitch bendig style.
there's no effect plugin that'll do that, but they usually come in the synths, all FL native plugins such as sytrus and 3xosc can have portamento set under the 'misc' tab in the instrument window.
9pm till i come lol.
4. I cant make auto clip on Z3ta+ , bug or ?
I don't have zeta but you usually cant do automations for external vsts straight away like fl plugins but to do that just click or turn the knob you want to automate, click the arrow in the top left of the fl window surrounding zeta and click on something that goes like 'automate last tweaked parameter', bleh i dont have fl open right now so i cant check, but it goes somethign like that.
i cant really help with this, this is usually something that just comes with experiance and is usually trial and error.
these will probably help:
