Hey guys! I submitted 3 tunes and I'm jonesin' for some reviews. Please let me know how I did - I submitted them in hopes of getting feedback and seeing how I do - haven't yet! Please have a listen :O
Firstly, I'll give you some info, seeing as I know some people won't bother with the link.
The Ritual is a metal band, located in Aberdeen Scotland. We want to be as versitile as possible, the lightest we'd do being Hard Rock, with the heaviest being the heaviest type of metal we can find.
This incarnation of the band has existed for a little over a month now, with a gig planned for July 23rd. We've got 2 songs completed, and 3 in the works. The morning before, me and the guitarist (Andrew if you bother with the link) recorded a demo version of our song "Chaos". It's more grungy than the new version, which is just a heavy mofo!
Anyway, what's this got to do with the Audio Portal? Well, we'll be heading into the recording studio some time in August, and I was thinking of ways to properly getting our name out there. That's when I remembered the Audio Portal!
Anyway, I was hoping that you go check us out, listen to the song. I'm the vocalist. And just so you know, I sing in future songs, it's not all screamed :L Then I want you to report back here, say what you think, but remember to be critical as well.
Also, Bebo is like Myspace, but easier to operate. It would be cool if you guys signed up as well. If you do, add me as a friend, and become a fan of The Ritual. Then go to our poll and choose "John". It's a little joke the 5 of us have got going :L
Anyway, I'll hope you do check us out! :D
Is it wrong to record body noises for ambitious music project?
Has the world become dependent on synths and instruments in order to make music?
Have people lost touch with there inner ability to make music without these things??
Is no one interested in music that cavemen would make back in there day to woo the woman???
THE REASON I ASK:
I am currently making a track that will be composed mainly of body noises etc and that will have very little synths in, the song is named Natural Expression...
It is only work in progress but I am getting constant emails telling me to "give it up" and the current score of the song is under 1.00
Could you guys please listen to my song http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/1 57970
Give me some constructive reviews / thoughts on to whether you think this will be a modern day masterpiece or a waste of time...
And remember I am trying to make a song with very little aid of synths and instruments, very basic and very caveman like.
Definatly needs improvement (well needs to be put into an actual song) If you have ideas leave a review or pm me.
>.> I guess I have the #1 song as of right now...I mean, you could listen to that too.
And maybe not give it a 0 just because it's #1. I've gone from a 4.88 to a 4.10 within hours.
If anyone would want me to evolve the song in a certain way just send me a pm.
Hey guys, here's a new recording of my band's song "Quarantine", all fixed up. It's a rockin song, seriously, just listen to it and stuff, you'll probably like it.
I know most people don't even listen to the songs put on here, but I do, so you should too and give ita shot.
Alternative Country/Folk, take a listen!
I do my own music, I'd appreciate it if y'all would take a listen, you never know what you might hear.
I'll return any reviews - and i'll really appreciate reviews because this is a work in progress and I want to know (if anyone has the time) if I should update my current MAC8 Submission (Memories (DEMO)) with this 2nd (improved?) version.
If you like to chuckle then check out my latest track...
All the instruments were done "live", including the drums, which is something I really enjoy and am proud of.
