welcome
Fav. Album: Hard to choose, its a three way tie between.
DSOTM, Animals, and Wish You Were Here.
all good albums.
I had always listened to Pink Floyd's stuff from 1973-Present. So when I was 11 and my Dad got Saucerful of Secrets I couldn't stand it. It just isn't Pink Floyd to me or my Dad. SoS always felt like a beatles clone album to me. Thoughts?
erm you can't really be a proper floyd fan and not listen to any pre darkside stuff, i mean thats 6 years of albums. But i've got a bad feeling Nighmare is gonna go on a big rant.
Anyways SOS is probably my 4th favourite pre darkside album. Have you heard Meddle or anything like that.

Hawkwind is the only I've heard of.

I should seriously look into The Greatfull Dead, they sound like a swell enough band. But, fuck, the'res so much bands I should listen to, and I have nowhere near enough money to buy it all, nor the patience to use p2p...

I went to Best Buy today, but the only two albums they had that I didn't have were The Wall and The Final Cut. My dad has The Wall on vinyl but we have no record player. The Wall was the album I got. In addition I got Journey's Greatest hits (because I need something to lift my spirits afterThe Wall demolishes my self esteem).

I was sure that they were going to make at least one more album, or maybe I was just kidding myself. I can't believe they are dissolved. I still have their records though.

Well, there's allways the next best thing, Roger Waters will play the whole DSotM and some solo stuff in the Roskilde Festival in Denmark this summer. I would so go, but I have no money at all.

Anyways i just discovered in my local record shop they have a load of boxes of misc records for 50p each. Some are a bit shit and the condition is variable but i got Genesis "Tresspass" and Rush "moving pictures". I only had time to look through 2 but there was more boxes so i'll have to have a look nextime.
I finally used my age to my advantage as well and got sme cigars so i could have a classy smoke.

I have one of Roger Water's solo albums, "The Pros and Cons of Hitchhiking". Gives me memories of "The Wall" but otherwise its only ok.
What do you think of his solo work? Its alright to me. Also, what did you think of "The Division Bell"? I thought it was just as good as "A Momentary Lapse of Reason" which was pretty good IMO.

You should bring some cigars on friday lol. That'll go down well at a junior BOTB.
The floyds supreme reign over my itunes is over. The fact i had 21 of there albums on there made them kings. But now we have a new king, Frank Zappa with 22 albums and counting.

wow 22. Thats not fair though Zappa released far more official albums than the floyd.
