Man, being a Buddhist is so hard today, trying to keep to the middle path but being distracted so much, what with all the violence and sex and rape and stuff...not to mention the n00bs of the world...sometimes it makes a whitey just want to crack, you know what i'm saying? Though you probably don't, just because most people on NewGrounds are either Christian or Atheist. And i have the graph to prove it too.

Just because one isn't buddist it doesn't mean we can't relate.

I remember that poll, I'm the single Taoist on the graph. From what you've explained, it seems you're viewing the world with a pessimistic outlook; as a setter of traps. This reminds me of the story of theVinegar Tasters.

I considder myself to be agnostic, but follow alot of the principals of Christianity and Buddhism. I find that the teachings of Buddha and the Dalai Lama actually help me get through all the perils of modern living, especially when it comes to tolerance towards others.

i view some of the world with a slight pessimistic outlook, but all bad has its good in it.

God is my god. Buddha isnt a god and never claimed or said to be one. He was just a man who was the closest to perfect that any human could be.

Most Buddhists do not have a god, with the exception of one denomination of Buddhism (Theravada?) that believes the Buddha was a god. Most, instead, follow the middle way and practise moderation in all things.
Oh, and you can update your graph. There are two mormons in the Politics section.

So Buddhists still worship God? Or is that just you personally?

pff. mormons. :P. anyway, yeah i would've kept up the graph but the thread died, so i just stopped the graphing.
but yeah, some buddhists believe god is their god and buddha was like, his right-hand man, to put it one way. And yeah, he Theravadas do believe Buddha was a god, but most of us just pay tribute to him as we would a saint, with the exception that Buddha did more, in my opinion that is.

Just wondering cause every now and then we get calls at my work from people saying they want to cancel their service because they're joining the Amish to make furniture and what not.
