3.80 / 5.00 4,200 ViewsI'm interested in knowing what the regular flash artists use for drawing and dubbing (voice acting) for their flashes. I noticed that there is a big voice acting community here in NG and was wondering if they have some special hardware like mics or stuff like that. Any advice or suggestions would be appreceated. Thanks guys!
Why don't you just go out and by a mic at office depot or something?
I was thinking I wasn't going to get some cheapo mic, was thinking that regular flashers have something of good standard. You notice how some flash have better sound quality than others right?
Come to think of it, and since were on the subject, who do I look to for availible voice actors?
If you're looking for voice actors, there's the Newgrounds' Voice Acting Club. There's also a roster of all its members, if you want to try handpicking your VA people. Hope this helps!

And in terms of hardware, I use a Labtec mic that's plugged into a Sound Blaster Audigy with gold jacks, and use Cool Edit Pro to play around and clean up my recordings. Some people use a more professional setup, your mileage may vary. Depending upon the compression used by flash animators however, all that work could be rendered into pure liquid crap. Which can be mildly irksome.
