you're joking, right? it's an april fools joke, right? i have no problem with trying to mature the image of newgrounds and taking steps towards creating a more mature audience (read: no longer tolerating the juvenile, homophobic, single-minded 12 year olds that contribute) and encouraging more skilled artists to participate in the "newgrounds experience" but, please explain to me how 30 year old housewives are going to help you do that? i've been a newgrounds regular since 2000. i've seen it grow from "pico, FDA, club-a-seal, assasin and britney spears dress-up/down games" into the site that it is today, hosting countless talented artists and giving inspiration to countless others who are just learning. that's what newgrounds is and unless those housewives are feeling excessively creative on a regular basis, they will be the downfall of newgrounds. please tell me it's just an april fools joke.

This is just a first step to test the water... I think this is a big moment for Newgrounds. We will still be catering to everyone, but we need to make a shift for the good of the site. Remember, more traffic for Newgrounds means more exposure for your Flash. More money for Newgrounds means better prizes! We think we can manage to still showcase the great "youth work" on the site, while also maturing a bit with content that can be enjoyed by adults across the country. After all, I'm getting on in years... How long do you think I can laugh at stick figures exploding themselves?
I hope everyone understands why we are taking this step. I hope you will take this step with us. Together we can make Numagrounds the site Newgrounds always aspired to be!!!

I even didn't realize that it was changed, untill I saw that the logo was changed from Newgrounds to Numagrounds.
Someone should actually make an entire flash version of the numa dance, instead of the movie that's known right now.

Actually I am a housewife, without husband, in her late twenties. And I completely approve this change. Numa numa is a great example for my children to be. Please show me where I can throw my cash on this site and good luck for the change!!
