How do you compress sound files cause my last flash had a pretty long loading time for some reason and i was told it was cause my sound or music was not compressed.

Open up the library (F11) and right click on the music file - go to ptoperties and thne make it into an mp3 - from there you should be able to lower the quality (and compress it further). Click update or 'test' when done.
You can do the same with pictures, and this will save more space.

It's probably because you had the sound set to Event instead of Stream. To change it to Stream, go to the sound panel and switch it around. Streaming the sound will not only reduce the file size a great deal, it will also help to keep the sound in synch with the animation.
