I'm sick of people getting such a boner over the constitution. Especially politicians -- and how they claim to represent the constitution when they don't understand how it works. Prime example: Reagan. I believe the quote is, "The Constitution is based on a faith in the people!" ... yeah, guess what. No, it isn't. The Constitution basically says that everyone is a terrible, terrible, murderous tyrant, and to prevent that they must be controlled without realizing they're being controlled. Madison said that anyone, no matter who you are at all, WILL (not might but WILL), if given the opportunity, become a tyrant. That's why I hate it when people say, "The Constitution is the greatest document on this planet!" Bull! It's one of the most insulting of all time! Why do people love the Constitution so much? Does anyone understand it anymore? I want feedback, damn it.

Agreed. Now some stupid morons are saying that it's their constitutional right to do anything even if there is no ammendment for it. For instance, in the abortion case (I'm not against abortion though) they said it was a women's "constitutional right" to have an abortion. Tell me where it says in the constitution that women have the right to have an abortion please Mr. Supreme Court Judge. Oh, I see. They really meant to write it down in the constitution, but then John Adams starting handing out reefer and they all got to high to remember to put it in there.
And while new meanings to the constitution are still being made up, some of them aren't even being protected. I can't go up on the air and say "I hate so and so" without being sued. What exactly happened to the first ammendment?

Actually some things are covered by the tenth amendment. It is often overlooked but as part of the Bill of Rights it includes protections for essentially "miscellaneous" rights not covered by the first nine. It's sort of vague.

I believe they were referring to the government's right to add ammendments to the constitution.

You want feedback bluehairedpunk here is your fucking feedack.
The constitution and the bill of rights are the greatest documents on Earth. It is because of the constitution that you and I live in a democracy where nieve little bitches like you are free to bash the foundations of said democracy as much as they want.
and I am the first to admit that it is because of whiny little bitches like yourselves that the constitution (and the bill of rights) has been ammended to create the guidlines that have given us the country we live in today.
The Constitution isn't perfect but its pretty damn close. SO STOP BITCHING!.

Democracy sucks, but most everything else sucks worse.
At least in terms of large scale forms of government.

That's covered in Article 5 of the Constitution.
Amendment X
