4.15 / 5.00 16,808 ViewsI just got back last night from my week-long trip all over the country! Last Tuesday, April and I flew out to San Francisco for the Independent Games Festival at the Game Developers Conference. Alien Hominid won three awards, read all about the trip here!
On Friday, we flew to Austin, Texas, where I spoke at South by Southwest! I was planning to not make a front page post until I could present pages documenting both trips, but I just spent over seven hours cropping pictures and writing commentary for the IGF page and the SXSW page will take just as long. I'm planning to have SXSW covered tonight or tomorrow, including pics of me and April with some celebrities! Oooooooh!
To celebrate our awards at the IGF / GDC, we are offering free ground shipping from the Alien Hominid store for the rest of March! Go to the site and shop your heart out - we have the game for PS2 and Gamecube, t-shirts, figurines and skateboard decks! Enter the coupon code "gdc2005" to receive free ground shipping - otherwise it isn't free.
Be sure to check out the IGF page, it has tons of pictures from the trip!
Tom, did you even think that AH would win so many awards? Haha, it is a kick ass game...
Anyways, congratulations.
Finally some front page postings. I was wondering if you guys were hurt or something. Anyhow congratulations on your awards Tom! It went from a 5 star flash game to a 5 star gamecube game. If there were six stars you would've gotten six. Although I don't think you should've gotten 3 awards. You should've gotten all of the awards offered!

Is there any way I could pay for AH using Paypal? Its really the only service I can trust.
Have you taken your daily dose of Madness yet?
You Got a pic with Tommy!
Thats fucking sweet... I love Electric Playground and Reviews on the run!
(are those only on up here in Canada??)
More /Lit pages! W00t-W00t!
Y'know, if you updated the lit section more, you could easily turn it all into a true biography, or at least the outline for one. Would people buy Tom Fulp's Biography? Maybe not today, but you've only just begun, haven't you? Not many people found a huge entertainment site when they're in college, then produce an independant game that wins awards and tons of critical acclaim before 30.
Besides, the lit section give me something to read when the portal is slow, and the BBS is dull.
VIVA LA LIT
Nice! I might be buying the Super Soviet Missile Mastar shirt!
Rock on Tom great pics and sounds like you guys had a blast!!! One day, I'll take over the world with video games too!!! :)
So Tom, how does it feel to be thrown into the public eye? All I have to say is you are lucky to get the chance to go to events like these and win awards. Live it up, man. Live it up. :)
I could surely die
If I only had some pie
Club-a-Club Club, son
I guess I should actually try playing the game. Can so many crystal statues denoting value and playability be wrong?
Let me just finish with the Wind Waker first, then I will battle your pudding creature.

Psh, it's just G4 now. Get your facts straight, Tom ^_^

Haha, I was going to post the same thing. I love both of those shows so much.. I haven't heard much about them around the forums though. Being from NS I'm not sure if they air outside of Canada.
Congrats on the three awards guys.
I think going to the after parties for Tom wound be more fun. Going to gamespot hq and whatever else. But geting the recognition and rewards seems more prideful(if its a word)

Look at that, two people behind two of 2004's coolest games. By the way Tom, update the Literature page, I hate losing the links to your more-recent adventures!
