Like 27 hours straight. It was the Metal Gear Solid for the regular Playstation.
I know the game isn't that hard or long, but it is a long story. So here goes:
I first of all didn't have a memory card. It was storming and I got up until meeting the girl (I forgot her name) and then the damn power went out.
That didn't break my stride, so I started over and got to the same place. Then I got stuck trying to beat Psycho Mantis. Now, I didn't have the internet to get strategy and I know eventually Campbell tells you to switch out the controller ports, but he wouldn't say it for like 45 minutes. So I was just running around wasting ammo and dying.
Also I rented the game, so of course they didn't give me a booklet or anything. On one part they tell you to retrieve this number off the back of the booklet or game to use a number on the codec. Having nothing, I had to just go through every damn number on the damn codec. What a pain in the ass.
Then, somewhere in the game you had to back track and look for something. I got lost or something. It took for-fucking-ever.
Then I kept getting killed by trying to repel and the helicopter after you thing. I might be out of order, so please forgive me hardcore fans. I was in the seventh grade then. I also got my ass kicked by that ninja.
The part I spent the longest on though, sadly was the part where after you hold out or submit you are in that cell. First I didn't know what to do with the damn ketchup and then when it didn't work, I had to wait for that ninja to come by. I think I got a messed up game, cause again it took like 50 minutes. I thought the game was just made to make you wait out things realistically.
Now, no I'm not a hardcore fan that just sat down and kept playing. I actually wanted to go to sleep. But I had rented it, didn't have a memory card, and the power kept going out, so I wanted to get as far as possible. I beat the game in that timespan and afterwards slept the entire next day (it was summer break). I didn't play it again until like 2 days later when it had to go back.
