Hi guys, hoping someone can give me a simple answer here!
When opening my Hotmail account through the link at the top of the MSN Messenger menu it always opens in IE and I've no idea how to get it to open in Firefox instead. If anyone has any suggestions then they'd be great. Oh and I'm not uninstalling IE because it can come in useful sometimes.
Thanks in advance.

thats down to how MSN is configured, not firefox or internet explorer, just live with it, and just goto www.hotmail.com in firefox, easier that way.

Thought as much but it was worth asking. Yeah I know it's only temporary but it'd just be nice to have it open in Firefox instead.
Cheers anyway.

Just do what gotunks4 said. Go in the Tools menu, the General tab, then click the box that says "Check Now" beside "Check to see if Firefox is the default browser".

That doesn't work, it is already set as the default browser but it still won't run through MSN. Oh well it's not a big problem so I can live with it.

While this topic is still alive, how do you keep AIM from opening IE windows instead of firefox (firefox is my default browser, I just checked)

It might be in the aim settings, or if you have Windows XP you can set your program access and defaults to forbid IE from opening, even doing this though, in the case of the topic starter, doesn't fix the MSN problem.
