I don't particularly like having two screens on the one system, even if one is touch activated.
The only game worth its salt on the DS is Wario ware: touched. I played it today, it's pretty fun and innovative.
But the PSP has a bigger screen. And it's playstation. And the graphics look pretty sweet.
Yeah, I think it would have to be the PSP for me.

Matter of preference bro.

PSP will sport some nice visuals, wonderful sound, plus works as a media center (depending on how big of a card you're willing to invest in - the further it will go), but has a MUCH lower battery life. Titles range as vast as the PS2 and have a ton of third party support - not to mention 20+ launch titles.

The DS on the otherhand hs less traditional game play from the two screens and one being a touch screen. Obviously less visual standout but the battery life is killer. The touch screen and 2 screens incorperate a ton of new gameplay features. The negative - lack of software.... now. Tons of software is coming out but as it stands theres only a handful of "worth owning" titles. But just wait til advance wars DS, FF3 remake, etc etc etc

Weigh out the pros, cons, and obviously price and battery life.

Hope you're happy with the choice you make.

For me it would definately be the DS though the touch screen isn't original (I think either the neo-geo or GameGear had one). DS=N64 graphics PSP=PS1 graphics go figure.

i personally like flip phones, so i'd go for the DS. It seems to be ther safer bet considering sony hasnt exactly got everything rite lately. And the battery is supposedly only to last 3 hours. Whats the point of a handheld if it only lasts 3 hours???

I tried the DS and found it very fun. Its like a mini N64. The touch screen tool is very clever.
I havent played the PSP, but I have seen the visuals. Theyre very good from what ive seen, but i havent seen any gameplay visuals, just a cut scene. But i'll still get a DS. I dont care about graphics, i just care about gameplay, and nintendo are better in that area.

How do you know, I bet you havn't played one. You are just using your imagination to make the DS seem complicated. I have played a DS, and I can assure you that it is not hard in the slightest. It feels very natural and opens up a brand new area of portable gaming. The PSP is mearly heating up old material. Do you see anything innotive. Oh wait I forgot! Better graphics and a movie player. Like that hasn't been done b4. The PSP is PS2 that has been shrunk down with no consideration for battery life.

Hell yeah, the best part about the Virtual Boy is that when you're not playing it, the images are burned onto your retina anyway.
