We downed all first four bosses. Still cant down the 5th one though :(

So I've got my Dwarf up to 16, and he's almost half way to 17. After doing my quests, I'm on one right now, and another that says Elite, which I'm pretty sure is hard to do.

He can't come on the same server as us, as we are part of the EU server network, whereas AT is part of the North American network.

I have finally visited Alterac Valley (3 hours and still no resolution to the conflict.) I was dissapointed, because when I joined, we had both raids full and the Aliiance was pushing the Horde back to Iceblood tower, which we just failed to take. Then once we lost the front, the horde pushed us back to our base and most of the raid deserted, leaving us 23-41 down (work that one out)

I guarantee I shall go there again, I just need more levels to make me more effective (being 51, I died so many times, but did figure in some 450 kills, 25 of which were my own killing blows)

Loot everything, keep talking...I know it sounds retarded, but good communication is the key to winning AV. The horde have it much easier than we do because of guard placement, and starting zone, etc...

Basically, the best way to win is take the GYs. That's it... Just take half your army and hit up the next GY 4tw. Soon as you get it, keep like 10 people at the one for about 10 minutes, and the rest go for the next.

One Graveyard can change the entire course of the battle. We were in their gates, but were making absolutely no progress. We were trying to get in there for 4 hours, but their guards were spawning WAY too fast, which sucks, because they have like 3 level 60 guards right in the beginning of the gates, which we don't. Anyway, we noticed that a small group of horde were getting IB, FW, and SH Graveyards. Then, they got the bottom one that we had. and instead of rezzing at the south tip of the map, we started rezzing at the north tip of the map....we were crushed, and fell apart...and they came ALL THE WAY BACK UP and won the fucking game.

It was so sad.

Also, that fag was banned.

I read the tutorial on the WoW forums, which basically tells me to, as a lowbie, loot as much as possible and build up the forces. If I come in at the start, go and harness the local rams, maybe even take a group of 5 to ransack the mine, bacause that could give us a HUGE advantage.

The only problem I see is that I tend to get lots of Forsaken hearts stacking up and the only person who accepts them is the first Alliance quest giver to die.

Do you find that it feels like just playing on a PvP server when you visit Battlegrounds? Because I've spent the last 2 nigfhts in Alterac Valley and everyone seems to throw the RP out of the window (I even co-operate with warlocks)

Big difference when you have a mount. No more walking, hardly ever. Just got to 43 on my Rogue last night. Did some WG and should have Sergeant rank by tonight. I still say our guild is the best ever at helping out lower lvls with instances. It's actually kind of fun to chew through a few instances like the Stockades and Gnomer to help a fellow guild member.

Can't wait for lvl 60 and the more intense instances and guild runs of AV. Best thing I love about a rogue is the ability to pick and choose fights. Like watching a warrior try to attack a cloth wearer and instantly put him at a disadvantage. Plus casters are just too easy to take out it's not funny. CheapShot, SS, SS, kick, SS, Kidney Shot, SS, SS, Gouge, BS. If even. That plus Mind Numbing poison and maybe a blind if needed = GG. :)

One of the things I love about 60 rogues is that due to the lag in Alterac Valley, they lose their stealth effectiveness. I like standing near the back, picking off the rogues. One almost got to our big casters, but I had him down to about 1/4 HP in a few shots. Then he stealthed but my Serpent Sting finished him off (HK: Stone Guard)

got 942 hk in Alterac Valley BG last night, just ONE battle. it was my first, and gave me all the rep i needed to be friendly with stormpike. i <3 the tabard. i found it quite funny, seeing that i was the lowest level, 51, playing with 60's, and had the most hk. we lost, but was still fun ^_^ hopefully it gives me the 4th pvp rank..

Yes, I'll be a Master Sergeant after today's update. In fact, I'll go and check right after browsing the BBS.

It was wierd last night. I was running around in my 3rd battle in AB and I was made the leader. Rather than pass it on to someone with more experience, I used the helpful whispers of people like Shalsfindil and Esken to get some reputation for myself. I shouted tactics and used mass fear from the warriors, Area of Effect spells from my mages, warlocks and hunters to push them back to the Field of Strife from the Stormpike Graveyard.

We took down one of the three flyers, when I had to leave and I was confident I had done a good job. I'll get a full report from Shalsfindil as to how we fared after I had deserted.

Last week I got 40k Honor. I'm sure you got something similiar. I only played about 5 or 6 AV games. Seems like the Rep goes up a lot faster in AV than AB, which I'm really worried about. I'm honored in AV...2000/12000...which depresses me, but, hey, I've made it this far, and The Unstoppable Force and The Immovable Object are waiting for me. Sweet, sweet dps and block, oh how you two call my name in the night!

That's an awesome tactic if people actually fucking listen. I hope you guys have more luck there than the asshole-idiots on Dethecus. We have some of the most burnt-out AV players ever. We're SO tired of losing. So tired of calling out great plans only for them to fall on deaf ears. It's aggrevating, and arg! I jsut wanna win one game. Hell, I haven't even seen the leader of their base yet. It's so sad. lol

I only managed 7k honor last week, but since I am only level 51, it doesn't advance as quick for me. I'm going to enjoy getting the 3 marks of honor for each BG, because that quest is very fulfilling.

We lost, but we had our dignity in tact, since we pushed them all the way back to their towers, before a mass desertion at 1.00 AM caused us to lose. I was happy to have lead us to the Field of Strife and would have dearly loved to stay until the bitter end

Well Coop, I know what you mean about people listening. Stayed up 'til 5am doing Av last night. Got 7k honor, 3k rep, and a big ole fat LOSS.

BUT

We did our best. We had about 30 people attacking their base. Never did take their tower, but we were laying into it hard. It's insane how fast their guards respawn and how slowly ours do. Also, their base has so many advantages. Well placed towers. Narrow walkways. Asshole archers who hit you for 200 dps =\ It's insane how hard their base is to get into, and how easy ours is.

Anyway, we were attacking their base for about 4 hours straight, and couldn't get inside, then they sent a small group of 10 to gather our graveyards, and we tried pushing harder to get to their Aid Station, but, they got in ours, and took our guy down so quickly, it wasn't funny.

It's shitty how lop-sided the tables are in AV. Makes me want to punch the fucking wall sometimes.
