The site actually started in 1995... I just never fixed that on the bottom. I really gotta pinpoint the start date, or at least an approximate.

Yeah... A year and a half of hard work did not earn AH nearly as much publicity as Numa Numa, but that's life. :)

AH is getting an article in Philadelphia City Paper, though! :)

Perhaps a different blam/protect system for first time submitters or a Rookie award system for those with less than 5 submissions is in order?

Tom, I kinda feel that creator of "Numa Numa dance" will be one from 5 authors this month, who will get 250 $ check ? That would be quite fair. Anw, thanks for updating Tutorial section and for the "Characters remaining" thingy :)

*No blam points for blamming movies by an author with no movies;
*Lower -quality threshold- for authors with <5 subissions;
*Et cetera.

But the problem with all ideas like these, are:

*No incentive to keep the portal clean;
*More chance 'crappy' movies passing judgment.

Can anyone find a way past these problems?

Wow, your updating it more, cause it is getting a little slow. Man this website is gold and me going here aat least once a day must do something. You even added a character thing on the bottom. I still have not managed to buy Alien Hominid, but I know a Wal-Mart that has it. I wonder how much money you got on your hands now?

Hello my good man :)

I am actually a fan of a NG user called WeekendUpdateAnchor. However, all his work gets blammed. We were really only able to save them through Dailytoons. Though it may not feel like the best time to plug in my series, but Dailytoons has given blammed artists second chances to have their work published (even though we get douchebag reviews all the time). And I have seen excellent artists leave Dailytoons (Aerdail aka NorthstarX is fucking incredible :D)

I guess what I'm saying is that the series that people take for granted (ie. Dailytoons, THE_FUN) are allowing people starting out with flash to have their work displayed.

And, of course, Daily2oons start May 1st :)

Im not saying that NG will be replaced in the next two seconds but if the Rising Talents like The Guy who Made Xombie or those crazy boys who made: http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/191110
Ha Ha I Love those guys.But the sad fact is NG will eventully be replaced. I know we all fear the end Any Rising Talent could be the downfall of NG not anytime soon but eventully.

As for Numa Numa the first time I saw it was named What Are Them Crazy Japaneese Up Too? I just fear the only reason people voted five on it was cause they laughed their ass's off watching "That fat Kid." Dance in his chair. It's really that bad theirs alot of Numa Numa Hate going around! Wait Mabey One Of you GOOD flash artists could make a Numa Numa Hate game!
TOM MAKE A SECTION ON NUMA NUMA HATE OMFG IM A GENIUS OH YES I CAME UP WITH THE ORIGANAL IDEAD YESS YESS!!!

Wow, the numa-numa bringing in that much attention... that is actually kinda sad that the numanuma dance would bring in that much attention and yet it's really kinda cool... makes ya hope that some of the people will stay, but it also makes ya wonder... how many of them actually cared about what they saw?

I don't feel sorry for him at all though, it's his own damn fault for refusing to accept his fame.

But 70% of them are aren't. I don't rate movies by age; I don't care what their age is. They could be two and make godly flash, and I'd vote them the same as if they were 50, and vice versa if it was utter garbage.

Woot! for Numa Numa! Which goes to show you a fat guy dancing is as hysterical as a fat woman in a moo moo. XD

the max I heard was like 100mbs which costs, like 3-4k, no wonder u spend 15k, do host newgrounds on ur own servers, od do you buy from other companies?

Craziest thing came out a few years ago, oc-192 this stuff is 220x faster than t3, while im on a 3mb cable connection, t3 goes to 100mb conection, and oc-129 goes to 10gb connection. I need oc-192 as a personal internet connetion.
