maybe have some mods set aside to find some younger artists and put them on the main board to inspire others

it doesnt have to be the best of the best but as a way to inspire others to have fun trying thier best making flash movies and games

i know tons of games and movies that should be on the front page

if u ever need home improvment tom i can get you 10 percent discount at home depot im a night crew suprvisor

Darn, i missed those days. I first joined early 00. I think my FF browser has blocked about 40 popups(and popunders :( ) today so far, it's on a roll! Does it actually matter if the popups are blocked(E.G. Will you get less money? If so I'll turn blocking off)?

It is definately harder to manage the community side of NG, I'd hate to be in charge of this, I'd have no chance. Keep it up Tom+co!

I am so jealous of the numa numa guy. HOLY CRAP! Theres a characters remaing box now! This is awesome! This is happening, this is happening! I wish I could do something to get on the news and attract a lot of people to NG. I'll find a way! You can stop me!

Intersting, I just checked the front pages of the new york times and I didnt see anything about th Numa Numa Dance. Which section's front page has it?

Response to NYTimes front page, etc. 2005-02-27 13:28:56

I'm glad that the next William Hung decided to submit his video here. :)

People at work have actually asked me if this is the flash site I talk about. They've all seen it on the news, and they like what they've seen so far. Of course, i don't think many have made it past the front page, LOL.

Congrats Tom (and Wade)

Yup, we're like american idol, just without the sarcastic bastard in chest-height pants.

I agree with you, the site is now accepting random crap(good crap i mean) which sometimes is so crappy and random it gets the media spotlight treatment. w00t! O, and thanks for not forgetting wade.

It is both under 'Technology' "Internet Fame Is Cruel Mistress for a Dancer of the Numa Numa", and under 'most emailed' at the website, that's all I know.

The poor creator of the numa numa is depressed from all of this so called 'exposure'. Reminds me of the star wars kid.

Anyone who wants to read the article go here:
http://news.com.com/Internet+f...&tag=5587315&subj=news

And about me saying a month is too long on the front page. My reasoning is that Newgrounds is getting a lot of good flash movies recently. To have 1 movie take up a front page spot for a month, when there could be a rotation to let several other movies also be ther in its spot doesn't seem right to me. Sure it the past movies may have been on the front page for a while, but it depends on what the quality of the flash newgrounds is getting is. The better we get, the less reason there is for something to be on the front page for such a long period of time.

Meanwhile, Alien Hominid...

Yeah... A year and a half of hard work did not earn AH nearly as much publicity as Numa Numa, but that's life. :)

AH is getting an article in Philadelphia City Paper, though! :)
