I'm glad to know that this crew hasn't died.

My friend has it, it is really good, I'm gonna buy it as soon as possible.

What do you think I could add to this?
Although it sounds sorta upbeat, I'm planning it to be really dark and add some mellow strings in the back and some bells, I could hear it as a Lord Infamous-type fast song, like how M3M said he spits it fast with some resistance. Anyways, the PC started slowing so I couldn't do everything, but I want to add a really deep flute bassline and some harp strings or something stringed, and a pretty long intro (40+ seconds) possibly add an orchestra and another piano. Anything else?

I gave the "Your Life," thing to my friend who owns the FL and he's gonna try and help me with it.

And I'm still up for the acapella, I just figured I haven't done anything beat wise in a while so I just created a simple and rough beat.

One of my friends gave me a loan of 'Wu-Chronicles'. I was surprised, as my friend has horrible taste (he went to see 50 Cent, but not for the support acts), yet he has such a great record. The first thing that hits me is that RZA is a genius. I have also enjoyed 'Black Trump' (by Cocoa Brovaz & Raekwon) and I am currently listening to the insanely catchy 'Hip-Hop Drunkies' (Tha Alkaholiks & Ol' Dirty Bastard).

I and most of my friends are anticipating the new Kanye West. :3

Hieroglyphics -
You Never Knew
BONUS - Miles To The Sun

Quote Of The Day
"You call him Tech N9ne, but I call him Aaron. By the end of this rhyme he'll respect mine!"

Rapper Of The Day

I've had that song on repeat for awhile. Great collab, in fact, that whole album is really damn good. Along with Bone and many other artists I listen to to get through the day, this material keeps me awake. Enjoy. Right now I'm acquiring more beats to work with. I got my little brother and his friend who is great at free styling working with me.

The Rock the Bells tour hit the Bay Area on August 18th. I have to say that was the greatest concert I've ever been to.

Immortal Technique opened the festival with a number of his best tunes, gave some kind words, and then directed everyone towards a booth where he was signing autographs. I got the Tech to sign my program and ticket.

The concert rolled on with my very favorites - Talib Kweli tore up the stage, then Mos Def, then the two came on together for some Black Star hits. I was in heaven!

One drawback to the performances as the day went on was that there were two stages and one would occasionally have to choose between two artists. I ended up seeing The Roots over Nas, and Hieroglyphics over Cypress Hill. At one point I went nuts because Blackalicious and Public Enemy were playing at the same time. I ran from stage to stage to jam to the beats of Gift of Gab and Flavor Flav.

Finally, it was time for the headliners. A good friend and I managed to claim front row (a little further right of the stage) and we got to see the glory that is the Wu-Tang Clan. They ripped San Francisco a new one; I've never seen so much energy on stage! Needless to say, the whole experience was amazing and I'm definately going to be there next year!

Are they touring in Europe too?

Dammit, I wanna see it.

The Roots, Public Enemy, Brother Ali, Felt, Murs, Jedi Mind Tricks, Wu-Tang, Nas, MF Doom... All those great artists on one place?

*sigh* They're probably never coming to Europe.

It was only recently that they expanded the tour out of California.

Who knows where they'll be in a few more years!

It was an overload of the best hip-hop artists of all time. MF Doom got the worst of both ends; he was scheduled to perform a little way into Wu-Tang's act on the second stage. Really wish I could've seen him.

I had a small chance to go. Heard it was crazy.

This club has been dead for a while. I just got the laziness out of me and decided to put my music back into my Zune and now that I have, I want more. I mostly rely on Mast3rmind for this, but he seems nowhere to be found. I'm really craving some Zion I. : ( 7

I told you in an earlier post that I decided to put that on hold so I could work on my production. I thought you responded to it, but I think you may have missed it. I've been practicing trying to get better. So I've been at it, trying to create a sound or sounds that I'm completely comfortable with.

I'm always here. Always. I just don't post as much because I'm working on my production techniques. Although I still show up with the OTD's. But you wanted some Zion I, huh? He wasn't in my upcoming schedule for artists this Crew has never heard of, but I can do a favor.

I've been an Admin in that room for about a year now. Good thing for that room, it's one of the only things that keep me on NG, other than this Crew. Plus the people in that room are pretty damn cool. I get to show people some underground and foreign HIP-HOP artists.

Ja! CONVERT TO GOOOOD MUUUSIC! Spread the knowledge around and eliminate the ignorant opinions on hip-hop. I need to check that place out some day. I think I've attempted it but last I remember, I couldn't for some of those stupid security reasons or because something wouldn't download right. Meh.. : ( 7

I like that song so much. But oh well, never really listened to Slick Rick.

Anyone bought 'None Shall Pass' by Aesop Rock? I heard it's pretty good. But okay, here a quick of upcoming albums I'm looking forward to:

Chamillionare - The Ultimate Victory
Atmosphere - When Life Gives You Lemons...
Saigon - The Greatest Story Never Told
Wu-Tang Clan - The 8 Diagrams

I heard Dr. Dre produced some tracks on it. Can't wait to hear them!

I heard a sampler of Kanye Wests 'Graduation' yesterday, and I'm very dissapointed. The only good tracks were 'Stronger' and 'Can't Tell Me Nothing'. And I'm afraid Kanye also've been bitten by the sing-virus like 50 Cent. Ugh.

I'm sad to see this Crew so abandonded, but I can't wait to hear some song from M3M.

The Cham song is alright, it's original atleast, Slick Rick could've done a better verse but oh well. Check out his first album, "The Great Adventures of Slick Rick," it's one of my favorite albums of all time.

Yeah, and I just heard on hiphopdx that 50 said something like this: "Kanye sucks, his records sound robotic." Oh well. I really hope Kanye wins, but I'm not gonna buy the album myself.
