Her monitor is shitty. It strains my eyes too much to read at higher resolutions. I only up the resolution if I am running graphics programs. When I get my ibook, this won't be an issue.

1024x768 is what I use. It's always best to be able to see everything.

Also...Why change the res of newgrounds when everything on this site isn't of the same layout design yet????

Please don't change the resolution of the site.

1024 is just eye burning.

If you do decide to change the site, make an options where the members can choose their resolution? That'd be great. =D

Although I have like, zero posts, I still think my opinion matters. After all, I am a pro gamer. =D

1024x768 is what most people use. You should, if you do anything, make it that. To be honest, though, I never really realized the empty spaces on either side of the screen until this thread was brought up.

I suck.

I don't know how anyone can handle using 800 x 600, I just find it horrible.
I use 1280 x 1024, so I have adapted to everything being small.

I'm pretty sure I have 800x600 screen, but I could be wrong. But that's something I wouldn't like to find out thanks. And why expand the site size anyway? It's fine as it is...isn't it?

I use the 1024 resolution, but to tell the truth, I never noticed that NG was at a smaller resolution than today. It looks like it was done intentionally to look more sleek. I'd leave it how it is.

I use 800x600.
I hope it isn't changed, I would have all these scroll bars on the bottom taking up the screen. It would be quite annoying. I hope you don't do it. However much say I have. -_-;

I have switched it to a higher resolution before and I do know what you are looking at Wade, but when I noticed how much smaller the flash videos were I found putting myself back to 800x600.

It does have its downsides when there is a flash that is very long/wide and then the flash box is scrollable and is annoying, that isn't all that common though.

I still use 800x600. Please, don't change. I have enough problems viewing NG anyway (e.g. popups causing computer crashes).

I haven't managed to read through the entire thread, but I take it you don't have Web statistics?

Strange that, especially for a Web site of your popularity.

Supposedly, 20% of web surfers still use resolutions less than 1024. I'm just not sure if any of them are Newgrounds visitors! IGN.COM is 1024 and one of the top 200 sites on the web, so I'm assuming it hasn't been a problem for them.

If we are going to consider expanding to 1024, I want to be sure we aren't screwing over a lot of people.

It looks quite fine to me, in fact I'm over 1024 :)

Either way it works for me, and for those under 1024, I doubt it would really bother them, I never had any problems when I had 6xx whatever, I always came to NG no matter the resolution :D

Netscape is much better, I think, than IE.
