So, I read page 488, and found out what to do to inquire membership. So here goes:
STATS
Age/gender - 25 / Male
Height/weight - 5'10 / 175lbs
Build - Average build
Primary shelter - My Home
Location/town size or population density - at residence: Victorville, ca. 100,000+ pop / Urban
Nearby cities - Ontario, Rancho, Barstow, Las Vegas,
ABILITIES: Military background, Electronics/Computer Engineer, Sailing experiance, Qualified expert and sharpshooter for Carbine, M-209(SAW), M-240B, M-205, AT4, and Pistol type weapons
CLOTHING: My old Military ACUs (trousers with accompying pockets, under-shirt, Blouse with accompying pockets, PC Cap, and combat boots)
EQUIPMENT: Camelback/Backpack combo, Springfield XD9 pistol w/ 3 clips, 200 rounds of 9mm, Mossin Nagant Rifle w/ scope and Bayonette, 500 rounds of 7.62mm, 30" double-sided sword (sharpened of course), 6" boot-knife, 10" Combat kinfe, and a pair of workman gloves
STARTING OUT: Obviously starting out from the house. My goal would be to supply myself with above listed equipment as fast as possible and head towards my Sailboat in San Diego. San Diego is a total of 123 miles from my residence which leaves ETA at around 2hrs driving time at 60mph. but in an outbreak, you gotta consider that literally everyones instinct is to jump in the car, and head out somewhere, in which case leaves undesirable road conditions almost everywhere. Not to mention in a stage 4 outbreak, most travelers would likely be infected already. So my first plan of attack would be to quickly (and on foot), plan a route that will quickly get me to the boat dock, whilst avoiding zombie encounters at all cost.
DAY TO DAY LIVING: I would live each day in the shadows as much as possible, jumping from supply point, to supply point as timing, and conditions would permit. I estimate a total travel time to the boat would be at least a month and a half. I would survivors and zombies alike as both are a threat. Survivors will undoubtably gain attention from infected, or become so far gone that they themselves are even a bigger threat than the infected. I would stick to shelter long enough to re-supply/re-nurish myself before heading to the next point. If no shelter is found, I would have trouble looting and or killing if it meant my survival. The terrain in between my residence goes from desserty, tropical. That means there are plenty of un-populated areas during travel until I reach about 15-20 miles outside dock. *GUNS WOULD BE USED ONLY FOR EMERGENCY SITUATIONS ONLY, as the noise would undoubtedly provoke attention.*
SUPPLY ACQUISITION: Looting, stealing, and using acutal military survival skills to make substance of almost anything
LONG TERM: The long term goal would be to reach the boat, and set sail to open ocean. The boat is self-sustainable. I have water-suits, spears, and fishing rods on-board. It's a sailboat, so there wouldn't be any need for gas. I have sleepin areas, kitchen, and bathroom (although I would obviously piss over the boat). For fresh water, I would use filtration methods used from survival skills (morning dew from sails, layered dirt and coal to filter sea-water, boiling method, and filtration system on boat). I could live out the remainder of life of the boat and would only have to worry about the isolation effects on my personality.
FINAL WORDS: The goal is to survive. So obviously, if situations happen to present themselve making the trip impossible, or another 'long term' shelter is found that outweighs the boat option, than I would definately make those plausible decisions. I would like to think that I was smart enough to make it to the boat before the outbreak reached stage 4. :D
