What do you mean by game maker? Are you talking about RPG Maker, what SnoopHog said or something else entirely?

Yeah Game makeer is an awsome free software to make games and SnoopHog had the link to the web-site. I think it's a lot easier than flash and it doesn't require AS knollege to make games, however your options are more limited. But it's still cool :)

I don't think you've corrected him in any way. He clearly spelled things that way one purpose. And Flash is the best game maker for this hobby level of development. You can knock yourself out trying to make a fun 3D game, but I won't hold my breath waiting for it.
Also, why have you become the professor of all things regarding your own question? How could you have learned half of what you need to know in that time?
