Utah, London, oh my! Feb. 2nd, 2005 @ 07:21 PM Reply

Sorry for the quiet spell, I've been flying all over the place these past two weeks and can barely get caught up. After hours of burrowing through endless emails (I really do try to respond to them nowadays), I decided to take a break and prepare some "story pages" about my recent adventures.

It started two weekends ago with a trip to Park City, Utah for Slamdance, where Alien Hominid was a finalist in the Bawls Independent Games Competition.

I had a day and a half of catch-up between coming home from Utah and flying out to London, where I got to visit with James! I included lots of pictures!

Next month I'll be in San Francisco for the Independent Games Festival, followed by a trip to Austin, Texas for the South by Southwest festival, where I will be speaking! How many people here live near Austin?

This is the game JohnnyUtah and I have been working on.

Damn it Tom, you should tell people your coming to Britain, we would mob rush you with beer and naked ladies. If ames didnt do this he should be ashamed. Snazzy pics all the same. Just a tip, you should visit britain for the official European launch of AH, and then the fun shall begin.

Being a finalist must have kicked ass in and of itself, too.

Looks like you had a blast during your travels. It's always neat to hear about AH and the traveling you do. Your stories have really grown up since shit on the building and dead rodents in a bucket of water. :)

You should hit up Atlanta, GA Tom. It's pretty decenthere, besides the rednecks, gangsters, and floosies running around. Shit, come down in September for AWA. You can spread the good name of NG, and get in some fine anime entertainment too. :)

The "brother and sister" and the "cousins" in those London pics seem a bit... "close".

Are incest laws a bit more lax in Britain?

I lived in Atlanta for almost a year... I was actually living there when we first started work on Alien Hominid! It's a great town, I just missed friends and family. I gotta come down some time, though.
