I came to this topic to talk about psp and that what I am going to do

I think the PSP is a good thing, but because it will push the handheld market forward. Soon we'll be seeing little versions of machines that seem like home consoles, but better. Personally there's nothing coming out for the PSP that interests me, and the DS has Animal Crossing/Mario Kart/Castlevania, but since this topic is about the PSP I won't mention how much I love my DS =)

It should be interesting to see where Sony goes with it...

Hey We Got A Right To A friggin opinion to not like you could stop us besides i haven't seen anything the PSP to be offering as anything great. psp sux and heres why

1. DEFECTS
over a dozen of defects have been reported since the PSP's release. Those defects include the following,
A. Control nubs breaking too easily, not working, or just plain falling off.
B. Dust under the screen
C. Air bubbles under the screen
D. Dead pixels
And of course the dreaded UMD disc popping out.

2. Battery life
The PSP's battery life has been proven to only last 2-3 1/2 hours when playing games.
Heres your proof

3. Expense costs
When you add everything up your going to spend over 400 dollars just to enjoy your PSP to its fullest. Your going to have to get it first off, Next your going to have to buy a game. theres $50 right there, Next your going to have to buy something to protect your PSP and your UMD disc. While were at it, portability is limited aswell. You stick your psp in your pocket and your bound to break the control nub off. Also, stick your UMD in your pocket and its instance scratch 4 j00. not to mention the PSP will barely fit in your pocket.

4. Games= shit. Ports, ports, and more ports.
Now lets see here, the PSP has absolutely no library worth getting. MG AC!D is gay as hell, if you dont believe me just go take a look at its game play system, its nothing like MGS 1, 2 , 3. Now I knwo what your thinking, GRAPHICS MAKE GAMES GOOD!11 IM A N00B well guess again, GRAPHICS DONT MAKE THE GAME. also, If your going to buy the PSP for Gran turismo your an idiot. Gran turismo can be purchased for your PS2. So its either pay 250 for gran tursimo, or just pay 50 for granturismo. Which would you do? I also read someone say GTA is coming to the PSP, While that is true it wont be anything like san andreas. The psp wont be able to handle a game like San andreas or GTA 3 even. They are all complex with big worlds that the psp just cant handle. Anyone who read the specs of the PSP would know this.

And believe me, I could go on for hours but it just isnt worth it. If your looking for a new handheld get the DS. Youll be much more satisfyed. If your still sceptical then just look what hte ds is doing to the psp in japan.

the ds can play movies and play mp3s. The mp4 player will be out next month.

It's a charged battery. So your not just throwing 4 double As in every few hours. You have to get to a power jack and charge it. There goes it's portability. Also, I don't want to listin to music on my gaming system...

I really cant wait until it comes out! Im buying the value pack. They made all of the ff games for it plus all kinds of awsome games. The grphics on it look better than the ps1 graphics

Well either way psp is gonna kick ds' ass when it comes to game titles and amount of games and gameplay. Gamecube was capable of way more then ps2 but who won out in the end? PS2
