I signed up for a newgrounds account not too long ago, and I am suddenly seeing an increase in adware and spyware. (Let's not even go into the viruses.) Are these two events connected? I never had this problem before, and I've been going on this site for several years before I had signed up.

I think yes they are probably connected... I don't have anything to prove it but when I my computer was infected by adware. Spyware was in 5 minutes later on my screen >_<

First off, get adaware, and spybot search and destroy. Then get firefox. You have a newgrounds account now, so no more pop ups.

Get some spyware detection tools and use a diffrent browser than IE, this should solve your NG problems... unfortunatly Firefox now still gets a fair share of tracking cookies...
