I'm having a long-distance relationship right now, and it rocks. Eventhough it sucks that we can't see each other's face everyday, but when we do meet, we'll make the full use of it.

And I can't wait for Valentine's Day.

What it really comes down to is commitment. If you can't make a long-distance realtionship work, you didn't try hard enough. And if you don't try hard enough, you shouldn't have been in it in the first place then.

That's why I won't even try to have one. I'm not one to cheat on women. I like honest and open relationships, which means that when I'm done and I feel like some variety, I'll end the relationship.

Long distance relationships are not easy, as a few have already said.

But they can. I was seeing a girl in America (I'm in the UK) for a couple of years, and it was indeed sucky that we couldn't see each other more often, but it did mean that wa had a blast when we managed to get together.

I met her in NG Chat, her name is DrLavaGoddess, and she is now my wife and living with me in the UK. I also know 3 other people who had long distance relationships that ended up with marriage and/or children.

I'm not saying they all work, but they can.
