OK, since no one is posting at the other one, I'll put the songs I wrote into my own category. Here they are.

1. Yesterday a morning came
A smile ring out your face
Caesars palace morning glory
city human race
On a sailing ship to nowhere
Going any place
If the summer changed to winter
Yours is no disgrace

2. Sprawling on the fringes of a city
in geometric order
An insulated border
in between the bright lights and
the far unlit unknown

3. We're hunters of the night
Finding love where they might
We are hunters of the night

4. From Bissau to Palau
In the shade of avalon
From Fiji to Tyree
And the isles of Ebony
From Peru to Sebou
Feel the power of Babylon
From Bali to Kali
Far beneath the Coral sea.
Da da da da da da

This one is a little tougher.
5. A Friday night affair
Out in the city heat
Awaits a party there
Along the sordid street.
And it was guaranteed
The place to be was (name of song)

Let's see if you know the five songs I put up.
They are easier than Pantomimes.

It's by kid rock. I hate kid rock. My songs are MUCH better, and yes I'm sure you have heard #4.

Hint time before I go to bed:

1.I gave pretty much the enitre song.

2.2nd part of the song:

Growing up it all seems so one-sided
Opinions all provided
The future predecided
Detached and subdivided
In the mass induction zone

3. I pretty much gave that one away.

4. OK here is the bridge to that song.
Turn it up, turn it up
Turn it up up adieu (3x)
Ahhhhhh....

5. 2nd part of the verse
The drinks were two for one
Inside the crowded bars
The girls have made their run
Down on the boulevard
It was the idle place
We live the ways of (name of song)

That is my hint for the night. now GUESS!!!

Maybe you need another hint before I go:

1. Yesterday a morning came
A smile upon your face
Caesars palace morning glory
see the human race
On a sailing ship to nowhere
Leaving any place
If the summer changed to winter
Yours is no disgrace
Battleships come fighting me
And tell me where you are
Shining flying purple wolf house (?)
Show me where you are
Lost in summer, born in winter
Travel very far
Lost in musing circumstances
Thats just where you are

2. Sprawling on the fringes of a city
in geometric order
An insulated border
in between the bright lights and
the far unlit unknown
Growing up it all seems so one-sided
Opinions all provided
The future predecided
Detached and subdivided
In the mass induction zone
No where is the dreamer
Or the misfit so alone

3. He's a lean and hungry hunter
On the street tonight the fires bright
She's inside
She's a lonely little dancer
Out to find a daring new romance
He'll take a chance
We're hunters of the night
Finding love where they might
We are hunters of the night

4.From Bissau to Palau
In the shade of avalon
From Fiji to Tyree
And the isles of Ebony
From Peru to Sebou
Feel the power of Babylon
From Bali to Kali
Far beneath the Coral sea.
Da da da da da (5x)
Turn it up, turn it up
Turn it up up adieu (3x)
Ahhhhhh....
(If I give any more of this out it will give it away)

5. A Friday night affair
Out in the city heat
Awaits a party there
Along the sordid street.
And it was guaranteed
The place to be was (name of song)
The drinks were two for one
Inside the crowded bars
The girls have made their run
Down on the boulevard
It was the idle place
We live the ways of (name of song)
Hang around in the streetlight
In the heart of the nightlight

OK, please guess or I will get mad.

I got one...

I met Colonel Sander's wife in the state of Kentucky
She said I'll fry you up some chicken if you just fuck me
I came in her mouth, I was a crisis
I gave her my secret blend of herbs and Spices

Name that song 2

You may have heard these songs, but they seem pretty obscure to me. 4 of them were written before I was born. What is "progressive" rock?... and who listens to "Contemporary Christian" music?

Ireland 1988, I can think of Sinead O'connor & Kirsty Maccole but I can't think of the songs as yet.

That rules out Kirsty Maccole, she died in a boat accident last year, It also rules out all Contempory female artists who are known to be Irish who are known of in Australia.

That is to say that in Australia their are currently no Irish women getting radio play who were around in 1988, Sinead Oconnor's "No Man's Woman" finished up it's radio airplay run in December.

There's Enya but She hasn't been heard from for 2 years & doesn't have Lyrics, only heaviliy layered mostly inaudible vocal sounds.

Way to tell me absolutely nothing in so many words.

Face it your stuff is too obscure, more so than mine, 3 people got mine, nobody has got yours, Mine were all actually A-sides when they came out.

Well, I guess most are a little obscure, but you are so close with #4. Her his song is only time. Here is the rest, I give up. I actually felt the same way about yours; I looked up the lyrics of yours so I guess I cheated a little. Here are the songs except #4 because you are really close.

1. Yours is no disgrace by Yes
2. Subdivisions by Rush
3. Hunters of the Night by Mr. Mister
4. YOU ARE SOOOO CLOSE!!!!!!!! You will get it, I'm positive.
5. Rocketown by Michael W. Smith

I'd never heard of Rush or Yes until I looked up Splent's profile, I looked up lyrics for both, one turned up no results & the other turned up many songs but not one quoted.

Enya song is Orinoco flow, I know this song but It's unfair to expect people to get that, Enya layers her lyrics with anything upto 45 layers, Orinoco Flow has 4, only someone who owned an album or something containing a lyric sheet could have any idea what she was singing.

You are exactly right. Yea, I did have the album. But being an Enya fan I can usually hear the words she is singing pretty well.

Sail away, sail away, sail away
