One is more of a Brandy drinker. I may be french but still, you can't beat it. That or of course Banks's Bitter, a really English drink.

A Frenchy? By the name of EnglishPhantom? I do believe we have a spy in our midst.
Haha, only joking old boy, after all, my grandmother's a Gerry.
I'm not so keen on the old brandy, unless its in the Christmas Cake or Pudding. My favourite spirit for mixing is actually whiskey at the moment, though no particular whiskey. A friend of mine in the Merchant Navy recently introduced me to the pleasures of a Jack Daniels with Coca-Cola. I am also very partial to a Baileys, which is of course Irish whiskey mixed with coffee and cream. I assisted my dear mother in finishing off a bottle this afternoon.
What do you fellows think of Hierbas (pronounced Yerr-bass)? My mother is quite fond of it.
One's self is quite partial to a glass of gin and tonic, or maybe a nice brandy, though one wouldn't describe one's self as much of a drinker, what ho?

That my friend is what one believes is called a spell error. One is English and proud of it, only the brandy is french. One has been living in this great country for 21 years now and one is proud of it. *Stand, salutes and starts humming God save the Queen*

Jack Daniels has no real flavour to it, when compared to the great malts of the world (particularly those from Scotland)
When I drink Rye whiskey, I tend to plump for Southern Comfort, which has a hit of Orange, to give it a nice little tang. That mixes well with Coca Cola, Lemonade, Dry Ginger or just with ice.
My gentlemen, what is your opinion on hats?
Personally, one likes a nice theodore, or whatever that hat the yanks wear is called, or a top hat or formal occasions.

One would also go with a top hat. The only trouble thatone finds is when one is in London, then one can't where it when on the underground without crushing it.

Top hats are good, I do enjoy a nice Fedora (as the Yanks call them) and indeed baseball caps for when I am partaking of a game of cricket or a trip to the gym

I do apologise, Sir, from the bottom of my heart. *bows low* A grievous error on my part. I hope you accept my apology and can forgive me.
I have altered my view on mixing whiskey, I most probably prefer the irish whiskeys as I am very fond of Baileys. It blends coffee and cream, another of my loves, with booziness.
Hats? I don't believe I have worn a hat in quite a while. One's long hair serves to shield both one's eyes from the sun and one's ears from the chilly winds. I did, this afternoon, wear a cycling helmet, as one has recently acquired a new bicycle. I would love to own a bowler hat, myself, and a cane to go with it as I stroll about in my suit. I used often to wear a wooly hat without a bobble, with my heavily padded coat on the colder days. I also wear the floppy summer hats when on my holidays, or at least did, when I had to shield my ears from the sun. One does burn terribly.
Does anyone know somewhere in the Midlands one could acquire a bowler hat?

I've never been fond of coffee, so I steer clear of Balieys

Consult your tailor. Perhaps you can find a Saville Row chap on the internet who can help you.
What a weekend of sporting achievement.
I watched my Aston Villa crush the puny Birmingham City 3-1 and then spent the rest of the weekend helping out my local cricket club prepare for the new season (Saturday is the first game, I fully intend to play)

Why you like in Birmighna too? You could not tell me what area? as I would love to know how far we are away,

Why certainly. I live in the town of Kidderminster, maybe 30 miles from the city centre, but not properly in Birmingham.
Still there are plenty of Blues fans to torment here :)

I am from Stourbridge, again not totally in Birmingham. I pass through Kidderminster when going to see my grandparents.

Stourbridge, what a great place. I frequently drive there to go bowling and will be making a few trips there this summer to go and play cricket.
I'd never have guessed there were cricket grounds in the built up industrial areas.

Wow, do you go past a place called Wordsley hospital? (well its getting demolished now but thats what it was called)

I pass a place called Corbett Hospital, but I don't recall Wordsley Hospital... Russell's Hall is the only other one I know of.
Is it anywhere near Hairy Mel (Merry Hill Shopping Centre) at all?

My mum works at Russels Hall and it is pretty close to Merry Hill (I am up their every weekend) Its about half a mile away from Corbett I would say. It's weird to think that someone from NG lives so near to me.

One believes that there are about four or five chaps from the midlands on this topic. I one think most of them are in the west midlands ((the better side, even if we are near to wales)).
Ok chaps chaps next question as we have covered hats and tea, we can move onto your choice of hunting weapon. One would have to go with a classic Lee-enfield.

You believe correctly Sir. there are a number of members of the club who reside in the midlands. Best area of Britain in my humble opinion and a lot better than those bounders and cads from the east.

Personally one prefers to go boar hunting with a traditional spear. The thrill of the fight as you barely avoid being turned into a shish kebab on its tusks is quite envigorating. I advise caution though. The bloodstains are a devil to get out of.
hey fellow english folk i am from middlesex

That's... good. I suppose.

I am not one for crumpets but a good cup of tea certainly , thanks chap.

That only means extra crumpets for Coop then :)
Milk and two sugars please.
I say, the snooker was a little shocking. Combined 8-time world champions Stephen Hendry (7 titles) and John Higgins (1) were eliminated from the World Championships in Sheffield. Normally, this would not be surprising, but since it is the first round, you really have to wonder.

I am a keen Stephen Hendry fan but he is way past his peak sadly, he will be known as one of the legends of snooker.

Meh, I was always more of Steve Davies fan. But then, that is more my era. I was only 2 when I watched that epic final in 1985 Him and Dennis Taylor.
Great days.

same here old chap...
It's a shame that British car production has got so bad over recent times, we had the closure of the Rover factory and now Peugeot are closing their factory. These are dark days.
Pip Pip Chaps,
Sorry for the absence, damned internet has been down for the last 2 weeks or so, the university deemed immediate repairs were necessary, the Cads!!!
Well one is from Oxford, although I am at uni in Preston, at least the cricket between the roses counties are good!
As for hunting weapons, one prefers a luger with a rifle stock, its a little old fashioned but one is an eccentric at heart.
