What course are you taking if you don't mind me asking?
Games Computing BSc, hoping to transfer to the MComp, which appeared after I'd applied, as soon as possible.
Ah, yes... I will be reveling in the mastery of the Games industry for 3, hopefully 4 years...
Ah yes. Video games are a good commoity for the future. A toast to the future! [Raises wine glass]

Sounds like an interesting course. One wishes you luck old boy. Who knows, maybe I'll see your name on the end credits of some smash hit game in a few years?
If you are then one hopes you remember your dear friends in the EGC and send us free copies of the game to beta test.
<wink wink. Nudge nudge>
Say no more sir!
Gentlemen, I wish to make a toast. *rases glass of Bailys*
To Steve Irwin, he may have been an Aussie, but the was insane and that makes him OK in my book, he will be missed.
RIP Steve

Yes... poor chap and a scorpian too!. I bet he would have had it been a gator if he could choose.....

That crazy Aussie was one of the staples of my Tv diet when i was younger. He shall be missed by many but always remembered through the endless re-runs that the discovery channel will play.
To Steve Irwin! The man. The myth. The legend. The Crocodile hunter!
It seems one of my favourite shows is being re-run on the BBC.
Anybody else here ever watched Dangermouse?
Yes, I am a fan of it, but I do not see much of it living in the states and all.

To Steve! May his daughter full fill his legacy and may his family carry on his spirit! For an Aussy he was a hero. *sips tea.*
You see the wine bottle? It WAS full!

Of course you can. Pull up a chair and have a cup of tea old boy :-)

(I pull up chair and sit down) Why thank you good sir. (Someone get me a cup of tea)

You mean Joxa? Don't know I'm afraid. He occasionally turns up every now and again and makes a post that consists of something along the lines of "<smiles>" then vanishes again.
<waits for Joxa to turn up now his name has been spoken>
Maybe the locking made him batty? (shivers suddenly)

No need for the brackets old boy :p
Just type as you normally would with the added extra of the accent and you'll be fine.
And would you care for a shot of alcohol in your tea? Ones butler tells me that a shot of whisky in tea is a nice way to end a stressful day.

One doesn't know old boy. Joxa had vanished LONG before AVEP was locked I believe, though i don't really know as I was only started joining in with the AVEP in it's dieing days when the great flame war began.

Put a lot in because I go to school tomorrow.

Join the club old boy. Though one only has to go in for fifteen minutes for some interview or something so it doesn't really count as going into school I suppose...
But either way I have to go speak to my form tutor about something or other...
Heres some whisky. Don't put too much in otherwise we'll have to throw you out in a drunken stupor to ensure you get to school on time.

I say chaps, how is everyone? It seems i haven't visited the establishment in rather a long time. I'm afraid i've been rather tied up in family matters. You see mother had a heart operation not too long ago, and has since fallen over twice and sprained the ligament in her ankle twice in as many weeks. So i have been looking after her. I would like to announce that i know have a Silver Whistle! And i am quite proud of it indeed!
I go back to school tomorrow to start my first year of sixth form, i'm studying sociology, business, english literature and media studies. I was just wondering if anyone else is back to school the same time as me, and what (if anyone took them) did you get for your GCSE's?
I say! Jeeves! I'm back, so fetch me a horrendously large shot of Superior Dark Jamaican Rum! Huzzah for alcohol!

Something odd is going on. If I'm getting 5/5 then something must be wrong.
Say old bean did your all see what you go in the S.A.T?
At 9/6/06 11:24 AM, Metal-Gear-Solid wrote: Say old bean did your all see what you go in the S.A.T?
Indeed I did. I got:
Maths:7
English:7
Science:7
Though SATs mean absolutley nothing really. All they are is a way of the school telling how well you've progressed.

Well Done...

Yees... a filter in some cases for streaming students. Our school could only afford so many cow hearts for biology at GCSE level, what with the funds going on A-levels, so top set were the only ones with the pleasure. Oh, it was fun seeing some of ythe girls squirm...
I believe my SATs were:
Maths: 7
English: 6
Science: EP (stood for excellent progress, I think. They hadn't invented level 8 back then!)

You mean you actually GOT to dissect the hearts? Bugger, all we got to do was watch the Biology teacher dissect them. Though I agree, watching the girls squirm was quite amusing, especially the idiotic ones who thought they were the greatest thing since sliced bread.
