Its time we stopped depending on the goverment for every little thing fact is there is no such thing as a fair and just goverment theyare all just as dirty and corrupt. I think its plain stupid that the goverment controls so many aspects of our lives yet if not for the people there wouldn't be any goverments.

I think you have a point. People need to stand up for what they believe in. In our country, there exists the misconception that election time is the only time to worry about politics. People need to take a more active role in politics.

Even it probably won't happen my only goal in life is to live long enough to see people living their own lives without worrying about what the goverment says or does. If people want "real" freedom they shouldn't be so concerned about the goverment.

I guess that is what he is coming to, government has existed for thousands of years. We pay them a few bucks (I'm implying taxes) and they give us safety, education, health care, etc. We rely way too much on government to just toss it away.

Anarchy is the lack of government. But life would totally suck without the government.

Education system... gone, Public Transportation..... gone, Police Officers.. gone, roads being in decent shape <where they are in good shape> gone, businesses would have total power due to no laws to protect the workers, nothing to govern safe drinking water, and a lot of other things that makes our lives better would be gone.

And that is not including the people who would take total advantage of not having a government and steal, kill whatever they want, which would probally eventually turn into a dictatorship, which over the course of another few thousand years would probally work its way back to Democracy again and then people would want to get rid of that.....

Even with a goverment there are innocent people getting killed everyday. And by the way you can't say life without a goverment would suck because I doubt you've ever lived without a goverment so you can't predict what would happen.

Until the kid next door comes over and burns down your crop while you sleep. Then you will need public transit to get to the police station, education to fill out the forms , oh and the police to report the crime to. Then you still have nothing to eat. There is a reason humans live in units since the dawn of man, survival. Where you gonna get the seeds to grow plants, the tools, health care, clothes? This is why people rely on each other and use the law of comparitive advantage.

No, people are just too stupid, irresponsible and ignorant to be able to govern themselves. It's not entirely etheir fault though, society holds partial blame for not being able to educate them. If you don't believe me, I look at the people in these BBS Politics forums like Skunk, Shrike, Stafffighter, FatherVenom, Damien3003, BeFell, Maus... etc... and I watch how they argue or the kinds of solutions or answers they offer. What I do next is I offer a similar question to people that I encounter in real life on a one-on-one basis, and the answers I get sound like something coming out of a 5th grader's mouth with next-to-nothing in critical thinking. It's really quite embarassing to see how stupid some people are, especially if you know some of those people. Anyway the point I'm trying to make is, there are too many idiots out there (at the moment) such that society wouldn't be able to govern itself. The perfect government would be when we could all think for ourselves, be responsible for what we do and wise in what we do, and when we are ready that is the kind of government we will have, not just yet though...
