Because when you masturbate, you are thinking sexual thoughts about another person, or lusting after them. I actually learned in confirmation that it's a sin to even lust after a woman (or man if you are a girl), even if all you do is think about wanting to fuck them, and don't even actually fuck them or masturbate about it. Thinking about having sex with someone is just as bad as actually having sex with them, in God's eyes. So, naturally, masturbating is a sin.

What!? Forgive my ignorance, that's very illogical because if you don't want a girl, you are doing the right thing, supposedly. However, that means you will never get her as a girlfriend, or any girlfriend, for that matter. You will never fall in love. For this reason, you can't have love, without lust. Ergo, this means that without the lust, you will never have sex. Without evil, there would be no children. "Rightseousness" would bring about the end of the human race. God did not create men for this, I'm sure of it.
